Positive psychological factors such as optimism are predictive of favorable clinical outcomes in patients with cardiac disease. Evidence suggests that trait can vary over time, especially after a coronary event. We therefore examined whether the level and change across one-year time period percutaneous intervention (PCI) were associated changes quality life (QoL) time. The analyses adjusted for negative functioning health behavior adherence potential explanatory factors. Patients who underwent PCI (n = 1759, 21 % female, mean age 64 ± 10 years) filled out survey including positive (optimism; LOT-R) (depression (PHQ9) anxiety (GAD7)), QoL (WHOQOL-BREF), (MOS-GAS) at inclusion one year later 1474). Data analyzed using hierarchical linear mixed modeling time-varying predictors covariates. Optimism levels increased from baseline (MeanBL 7.6 (SD 2.1) to 1-year follow-up 43 patients, whereas decreased 36 %; rintraclass 0.53). was higher overall (B 1.96, se 0.09, p < .001) more 0.55, .001), adjusting demographic covariates, similar findings all subdomains. Introduction: Anxiety and depression are significant mental health concerns for individuals with congenital heart disease (CHD). As group therapy has proven to be a valuable effective treatment option managing anxiety depression, the aim of this study was determine its effects on patients CHD anxious-depressive symptoms. Methods: We used non-pharmacological psychological intervention, six weekly sessions 90 min each, administered by trained personnel, in adult CHD. Measurement tools included quality life (Euro life-5D questionnaire), self-esteem (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale), (State-Trait Inventory), (Beck Depression Inventory-II), satisfaction surveys. Results: A total 18 out 21 (mean age 35.8 ± 9.0 years old 13 (72%) females) completed program. According complexity, five (28%) had mild, (33%) moderate, seven (38%) great defects. Patients scored significantly higher Euro visual analogue scale (7.83 1.4 vs. 7.14 1.6, p = 0.012) lower Beck Inventory-II (12.3 10.9 18.1 12.1, 0.003) post-program than pre-intervention. Meanwhile, Rosenberg Scale score close reaching statistical significance (27.4 6.0 25.1 5.4, 0.051), while State-Trait Inventory did not. Finally, participants high questionnaire at end sessions, from 0 3, especially questions related feeling comfortable others (2.5 0.6), recommending program (2.3 or being willing attend future (2.6 0.8). Conclusions: Group proved useful tool reduce depressive symptomatology after 6-week program, providing environment
