Spontaneous combustion of coal gangue dumps not only releases toxic and harmful gases, polluting the environment, but also leads to explosion accidents casualties due improper handling. This paper focuses on delineating fire area, constructing a comprehensive prevention extinguishing system, restoring ecological environment. Infrared thermal imaging was used detect shallow while intensive drilling conducted deep area. The stability dump enhanced by perfusing three-phase foam for cooling using curing material fill cracks. Land reclamation then performed restore results indicate that spontaneous can trigger spread area from outside inside, gradually expanding 'stack effect'. sources in areas are mainly located 3-5 m below flat surface, interconnected, posing significant danger. These research findings serve as reference detecting controlling environmental pollution.
