The increase in pollutants such as hazardous refractory contaminants, organic dyes, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides entering water resources on a large scale due to global population growth industrialization has become significant health concern worldwide. two-dimensional (2D) MXene material is new type of transition metal carbide or carbonitride material, which demonstrated the capability adsorb various heavy particularly metals chromium, copper, lead, mercury. In addition, MXenes have tunable band gap (0.92–1.75 eV) exhibit good thermal stability considerable damage resistance, means that they are well suited adsorbents for waste removal. this review article, nanocomposites introduced removal from water. idea remediation, applications MXene-based nanocomposites, effects degradation wastewater contaminants reviewed. Future trends treatment environmental will also be discussed.
