This study investigated the treatment of textile wastewater contaminated with Acid Black 210 dye (AB210) using zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) through adsorption and photocatalytic techniques. ZnO NPs were synthesized a green synthesis process involving eucalyptus leaves as reducing capping agents. The characterized UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, EDAX, XRD, BET, Zeta potential, FTIR BET analysis revealed specific surface area total pore volume 26.318 m2/g. SEM images confirmed crystalline spherical nature particles, particle size 73.4 nm. A photoreactor was designed to facilitate photo-degradation process. influence key variables on break-down AB210. results indicated that under optimal conditions (AB210 concentration: 5 mg/L, dosage: 0.75 g/L, pH: 5, temperature: 45 °C), removal efficiency after 180 minutes 62%. However, in case photo-degradation, complete mg/L AB210 achieved within 30 at pH 7, UV intensity 24 W/m2, temperature °C. exhibited best fit pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Various isotherms, including Freundlich, Langmuir, Temkin, Dubinin models, studied, Langmuir isotherm provided experimental data (see Supplementary Materials). Fur-thermore, thermodynamic spontaneous, endothermic, favorable, ΔG°, ΔH°, ΔS° values -0.782 kJ/mol, 26.93 0.086 kJ.mol/K, respectively.

The development of nanomaterials has been speedily established in recent years, yet nanoparticles synthesized by traditional methods suffer unacceptable toxicity and the sustainability procedure for synthesizing such is inadequate. Consequently, green biosynthesis, which employs biopolymers, gaining attraction as an environmentally sound alternative to less sustainable approaches. Chitosan-encapsulated exhibit exceptional antibacterial properties, offering a wide range uses. Chitosan, obtained from shrimp shells, aided friendly synthesis high-purity zinc oxide (ZnO NPs) with desirable features extraction yield (41%), deacetylation (88%), crystallinity index (74.54%). particle size ZnO NPs was 12 nm, while that chitosan-ZnO 21 bandgap energies these were 3.98 3.48, respectively. strong action demonstrated NPs, chitosan-ZnO/PVP, particularly against Gram-positive bacteria, making them appropriate therapeutic use. photocatalytic degradation abilities also assessed all nanoparticles. In this study, zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) were synthesized using an aqueous extract of the Ocimum lamifolium (O. lamifolium) plant. The I-optimal coordinate exchange randomized response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize effect acetate precursor, temperature, and time on ZnO NPs by designing nine runs. From ANOVA analysis, significance validity designed model showed that optimal values during synthesis found be ∼0.06 M, ∼30 °C, ∼1.35 h, respectively. obtained under these optimized conditions characterized explored UV–vis, TGA/DTA, FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, HRTEM, SAED. Furthermore, electrocatalytic performance performed for sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) sensing activity with a 0.3528 μM (S/N = 3) limit detection (LOD). addition, antibacterial study revealed confirmed excellent zone inhibition against E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, pyogen pathogenic drug resistance bacterial strains at concentrations 50, 75, 100 μg/mL. Thus, O. leaf have potential diverse organic pollutant as well desirable material such antimicrobial strains.

The synthesized NCP was investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), Mapping, UV–Visible analyses. XRD data displayed cubic crystal structures silver & magnesium a hexagonal framework oxide. Also, FESEM PSA images pointed out, that average size spherical morphology is about 10–16 nm, while EDX confirmed attendance Zn, Mg, Ag, O elements. Under UVA light, we tested photocatalytic activity Methylene blue (MB) Rhodamine B (RhB) dyes in various temperatures (400, 500, 600 °C). results test percentage MB dye pH = 9, amount ∼30 mg, concentration ∼1 × 10 −5 M 98 %. We also evaluated cytotoxicity on cancer CT-26 line through MTT method obtained IC50 value 250 μg/mL.Graphical abstract
