Aluminium alloys, particularly AA 6065 T6, are widely used in automotive components such as coolers and radiators due to their excellent strength-to-weight ratio corrosion resistance. However, welding these alloys presents significant challenges, the weld joints prone thermal stresses, leading defects eventual failure. To address this issue, optimizing PCTIG (Pulsed Current Tungsten Inert Gas) process parameters is crucial for achieving superior mechanical properties, tensile strength. This study investigates influence of peak current, base frequency on strength T6 aluminium alloy with varying thicknesses (3 mm, 6 10 mm). Regression models developed predict across factorial space, ANOVA applied assess significance each parameter. Experimental results identify optimal strengths 179.50 MPa, 188.92 201.22 MPa 3 mm thick materials, respectively, set at 180 A 60 2 Hz frequency. Validation through simulation software corroborates findings, confirming effectiveness optimized producing defect-free, high-strength suitable applications.

The key goal of this research was to study the effect traverse speed a tool on microstructural changes, mechanical properties and fracture morphology pure copper butted weld joint by friction stir welding technique. In study, other parameters like rotational (1000 rpm), axial force (4.2 kN), tilt angle (0˚) offset (0 mm) were fixed. A cylindrical with non-threaded tapered pin used fabricate joints. All joints produced varying speeds (11, 20 24 mm min−1) defect-free. It noticed that grains in zone tiny, well distributed homogeneous at min−1 owing adequate heat generation complete intermixing material zone. utmost tensile strength 187 MPa achieved welded attained min−1. observed densely populated dimple structure enhances ductility case
