N-heterocyclic
carbenes
(NHCs)
are
organic
compounds
that
typically
mimic
the
chemical
properties
of
phosphines.
NHCs
have
made
a
significant
impact
on
field
coordination
and
organometallic
chemistry
because
they
easy
to
prepare
handle
their
versatility
stability.
Importantly,
physicochemical
can
be
easily
fine-tuned
by
simple
variation
substituents
nitrogen
atoms.
Over
past
few
years,
various
NHC-metal
complexes
been
extensively
used
as
metal-based
drug
candidates
catalysts
(homogeneous
or
heterogeneous)
for
applications.
To
help
assist
future
work
with
these
compounds,
this
review
provides
thorough
latest
information
involving
some
biomedical
applications
complexes.
Specifically,
article
focuses
recent
advances
in
design,
synthesis,
characterization
(e.g.,
antimicrobial
anticancer
activity)
(metal:
silver,
gold,
palladium,
rhodium,
ruthenium,
iridium
platinum)
covering
published
from
2015
2020.
It
is
hoped
promising
discoveries
date
will
accelerate
studies
encouraging
potential
class
effective
therapeutic
agents.

Metal
complexes
gained
more
attention
in
the
medical
field,
particularly
cancer
treatment,
due

their

potential

ability.
These
exhibited
significant
antiproliferation
by
triggering

reactive
oxygen

was
prepared.
It
widely
used
treating
lung,
breast,
ovarian

effects

as

insufficiency
