Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) represent a common neurological pathology that determines progressive deterioration of the brain or nervous system. For treating NDs, comprehensive and alternative medicines have attracted scientific researchers' attention recently. Edible mushrooms are essential for preventing several age-based neuronal dysfunctions such as Parkinson's Alzheimer's diseases. Mushroom Grifola frondosa, Lignosus rhinocerotis, Hericium erinaceus, may improve cognitive functions. It has also been reported edible (basidiocarps/mycelia extracts isolated bioactive compounds) reduce beta-amyloid-induced neurotoxicity. Medicinal being used novel natural compounds help modulate immune responses possess anti-cancer, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant properties. Compounds polyphenols, terpenoids, alkaloids, sesquiterpenes, polysaccharides, metal chelating agents validated in different ND treatments. This review aims to assess mushrooms' role their biomolecules utilization kinds NDs. The action mechanisms, presented here, including reducing oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, modulation acetylcholinesterase activity, protecting neurons stimulation, regulating neurotrophins synthesis. Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most debilitating brain diseases. Despite availability symptomatic treatments, response towards health PD patients remains scarce. To fulfil medical needs patients, an efficacious and etiological treatment required. In this review, we have compiled information covering limitations current therapeutic options in PD, novel drug targets for finally, role some critical beneficial natural products to control progression PD.

Microglia are integral mediators of innate immunity within the mammalian central nervous system. Typical microglial responses transient, intending to restore homeostasis by orchestrating removal pathogens and debris regeneration damaged neurons. However, prolonged persistent activation can drive chronic neuroinflammation is associated with neurodegenerative disease. Recent evidence has revealed that abnormalities in signaling pathways involving phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) protein kinase B (AKT) may contribute altered activity exacerbated neuroimmune responses. In this scoping review, known suspected roles PI3K-AKT microglia, both during health pathological states, will be examined, key receptors induce microglia described. Since aberrant correlated disease onset, relationship between maladapted development also explored. Finally, studies which been modulated highlighted, as prove a promising therapeutic approach for future treatment range neuroinflammatory conditions.

Aging is a dynamic and progressive process that begins at conception continues until death. This leads to decrease in homeostasis morphological, biochemical psychological changes, increasing the individual's vulnerability various diseases. The growth number of aging populations has increased prevalence chronic degenerative diseases, impairment central nervous system dementias, such as Alzheimer's disease, whose main risk factor age, leading an increase individuals who need daily support for life activities. Some theories about suggest it caused by cellular senescence reactive oxygen species, which inflammation, oxidation, cell membrane damage consequently neuronal Also, mitochondrial mutations, are generated throughout process, can lead changes energy production, deficiencies electron transport apoptosis induction result decreased function. Additionally, release proinflammatory cytokines cause irreversible cells.
