Abstract Breast cancer is a complex and heterogeneous disease, encompassing various subtypes characterized by distinct molecular features, clinical behaviors, treatment responses. Categorization of based on the presence or absence estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone (PR), human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2), leading to such as luminal A, B, HER2-positive, triple-negative breast (TNBC). TNBC, comprising around 20% all cancers, lacks expression ER, PR, HER2 receptors, rendering it unresponsive targeted therapies presenting significant challenges in treatment. TNBC associated with aggressive behavior, high rates recurrence, resistance chemotherapy. Tumor initiation, progression, are attributed stem cells (BCSCs), which possess self-renewal, differentiation, tumorigenic potential. Surface markers, self-renewal pathways (Notch, Wnt, Hedgehog signaling), apoptotic protein (Bcl-2), angiogenesis inhibition (VEGF inhibitors), immune modulation (cytokines, checkpoint inhibitors) among key targets discussed this review. However, targeting BCSC subpopulation presents challenges, including off-target effects, low solubility, bioavailability anti-BCSC agents. Nanoparticle-based offer promising approach target cellular processes implicated survival BSCS TNBC. In review, we explore nanocarrier-based approaches for BCSCs aiming overcome these improve outcomes patients. These nanoparticle-based therapeutic strategies hold promise addressing gap delivering while minimizing systemic toxicity enhancing efficacy. Graphical abstract

Published: Aug. 27, 2024

The increasing occurrence of chronic metabolic diseases (CMDs) presents a substantial public health challenge worldwide, necessitating the development pioneering therapeutic approaches. Flavonoids, which are naturally occurring compounds, exert broad spectrum biological activities, encompassing their anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and antioxidant properties, among others. Though they have potential role in treating CMDs, face challenges extraction purification, poor gastrointestinal absorption, low solubility, rapid metabolism, impede clinical applicability. Nanotherapeutics has been receiving significant attention as it aids resolving these issues. Hence, purpose this chapter is to shed light on advances different nanoengineered formulations flavonoids. commences with an outline diseases, emphasizing prevalence pressing need for innovative therapeutics strategies address burden. Following this, flavonoids conditions discussed. Moreover, also elucidates nanoengineering accomplishing efficient flavonoid delivery, particular emphasis versatile nanoformulations, such liposomes, solid lipid nanoparticles, phytosomes. Abstract Autophagy plays a crucial role in tumor drug resistance by enabling cancer cells to survive under stress conditions, including chemotherapy. It helps maintain homeostasis, resist cell death, and contribute therapy failure. This study analyzed the literature related autophagy based on Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database. The results revealed that there are 9284 relevant articles published date, covering 103 countries regions, with contributions from 5964 institutions 37,240 researchers. annual number publications has steadily increased since 2004, especially after 2019, indicating growing importance research. China leads globally terms publication output, accounting for nearly 50% total publications. Additionally, international collaboration cross-country research have become increasingly prominent, particularly collaborations between like South Korea Japan. Journal analysis showed International Molecular Sciences Oncotarget most productive journals, while stands out higher impact factor.
