Granuloma annulare (GA) is an inflammatory granulomatous skin disease that can be localized (localized GA) or disseminated (generalized GA), with patch, perforating, and subcutaneous subtypes being less common variants of this benign condition. Recently, new research has emerged further elucidates GA epidemiology etiopathogenesis; importantly, therapeutic options for have also been described, although there remains a paucity randomized controlled studies. In review, we summarize recent updates on etiopathogenesis offer updated review the currently reported in literature. We hope current galvanizes studies will turn help lead to recommendation evidence-based treatments GA.

Purpose of review Sarcoidosis is a complex granulomatous disease unknown cause. Several drug categories are able to induce systemic indistinguishable from sarcoidosis, known as drug-induced sarcoidosis-like reaction (DISR). This inflammation can resolve if the medication discontinued. In this review, we discuss recent literature on associated with DISR, possible pathophysiology, clinical features, and treatment. Recent findings Recently, increasing reports DISR have expanded list drugs eruption. Most reported be categorized combination antiretroviral therapy, tumor necrosis factor-α antagonist, interferons, immune checkpoint inhibitors, but other also published. The proposed mechanism enhancement aberrant response which results in granuloma formation. It currently not know whether represents separate entity or triggered ‘true’ sarcoidosis. As DISRs may cause minimal symptoms, treatment always necessary benefits continuing offending should weighed against symptoms organ dysfunction. Granuloma annulare is a poorly understood dermatosis that, when generalized, can occur in up to 15 percent of patients. In these cases, treatment frustrating and experimental. We report case 60‐year‐old woman 41‐year‐old who demonstrated resolution recalcitrant, generalized granuloma (GA) following oral with upadacitinib. After showing little no response other various treatments, such as steroids, antibiotic regimens, systemic therapies, each patient was started on mg daily At 2 months, one had complete clearance all lesions while the experienced noticeable improvement. Within 4 reached total her lesions. These cases provide evidence therapeutic option that may shorten disease duration relief from cutaneous disease.

Abstract Background Granuloma annulare is a noninfectious inflammatory granulomatous skin disease characterized by an erythematous or colored plaque. The diagnosis of granuloma may be challenging owing to its diverse morphology. In such cases, correlation between the clinical findings and histologic are necessary. Case presentation We report case after purified protein derivative administration. A 56-year-old Caucasian female patient complained mildly pruritic rashes which started on both arms lower extremities, eventually spread thighs, left popliteal region, upper back, right abdominal area. About 6 weeks prior eruption rashes, had been given tuberculin test. Biopsy specimens revealed dermal histiocytes palisading around areas mucin degenerated collagen, confirming annulare. After treatment with 0.1% topical triamcinolone acetanide 500 mg oral metronidazole, patient’s lesions resolved. Discussion Relatively little known about annulare’s exact etiology. has four variations presenting as either localized, generalized, subcutaneous, perforating patch prognosis for varies according subtypes. Proposed causal mechanisms subcutaneous include physical trauma, infections, immunizations, insect bites, diabetes mellitus, alterations in cell-mediated immune responses. likely component. Clinically, confused many other diseases. Conclusion This was reported since it rare dermatologic pathological condition that can rash disorders. Although benign self-limited disease, definitive important rule out pathologies similar appearances, cancer human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Diagnostic confirmation best made through biopsy.

Dear Editor, Cutaneous reactions to messenger RNA (mRNA)-1273 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine had an important impact on dermatology practice, posing diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Most consist in injection site adverse events, although reports about generalized exanthemas, urticaria, chilblain-like lesions, autoimmune diseases severe acute are growing.1, 2 We report a case of interstitial granulomatous dermatitis developed after the (m-RNA)-1273 recurring booster. A previously healthy 57-year-old Caucasian woman was referred our outpatient dermatologic clinic due multiple itchy dome-shaped skin-coloured or erythematous papules coalescing into plaques, located back, lateral part thighs forehead (Figure 1a,b). In anamnesis, patient reported onset lesion at 3 days first dose vaccination. The rapidly progressed plaque associated with homolateral axillary adenopathy. lasted for 10 days, followed by fever, wrists knees arthralgias, development papules. She treated oral prednisolone 25 mg/day 20 leading remission all signs symptoms. Upon administration second as scheduled, same clinical picture recurred skin biopsy performed. Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA), extractable nuclear antigens (ENAs), anticyclic citrullinated peptide (Anti-CCP) rheumatoid factor were absent. Erythrocytes sedimentation rate (ESR) C-reactive protein (CRP) levels within normal range. Screenings Borrelia Burgdorferi Giardia Lambia resulted negative, drug intake history.
