Sweet/fruit disposable e-cigarettes (ECs) are cheap, easy to use, and look like inconspicuous colored markers, which encourages young people adults use them. This work attempts summarize current knowledge about the effect of sweet/fruit-flavor ECs on early nicotine initiation. The literature search was performed in June 2024 Pub Med, Scopus, Web Science Direct databases by terms 'ends', 'electronic delivery system', 'disposable electronic cigarette', e-cigarette', 'cig-a-like 'nicotine initiation'. systematic review analyzes findings from four heterogenous US studies. All analyzed studies highlighted that sweet/fruit-flavored ECs, compared mint/menthol- or tobacco-flavors, were most commonly chosen youths during initiation progression vaping, regardless device type. Furthermore, two determined never-smokers mostly start vaping using modifiable EC devices. Moreover, all showed lower who had never previously vaped smoked current/former users former tobacco cigarettes (TCs) smokers dual users. Due limited number studies, their location, scope (mostly ever aged ≥ 18), moderate quality it is difficult clearly determine if have a role avoiding delaying competition. this preliminary require validation through high-quality, global among youth adult never-smokers/never-vapers initiated products with continue and/or smoking any (and flavors). study protocol registered International Prospective Register Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) registration CRD42024585153.

Electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) and liquid characteristics affect toxicant exposure use behaviors. Little is known about how adults who frequently ENDS transition between device/liquid groupings.A total of 379 US (≥21 years) using (≥5 days/week) self-reported uploaded photos their most used device in three waves online surveys (May 2020 - November 2021). Device/liquid grouping was defined by (i.e. disposable/refillable tank/refillable pod or cartridge/disposable cartridge, adjustable/no adjustable settings) salt/freebase) characteristics. Participants the same across were considered stable users. The prevalent wave (W) 1 tank (freebase, settings; 36.8%). From W1 to W3, number disposable (salt, no users increased 156.4% pod/cartridge decreased 15.2%. In W2 compared users, participants another and/or W3 reported significantly higher concentrations (mg/mL) (W2: 15.1 vs 5.5, p<0.001; W3: 22.9 5.6, p<0.001) lower power (watt) 46.8 58.7, p=0.02; 34.0 57.2, p<0.001).Over a 1.5-year period, rapid growth decrease observed. transitioned from other groupings more likely increase concentration reduce users.

The increasing popularity of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) as an alternative to conventional tobacco products has raised concerns regarding their potential adverse effects. cardiovascular system undergoes intricate processes forming the heart and blood vessels during fetal development. However, precise impact e-cigarette smoke aerosols on these delicate developmental remains elusive. Previous studies have revealed changes in gene expression patterns, disruptions cellular signaling pathways, increased oxidative stress resulting from exposure. These findings indicate for e-cigarettes cause harm. This comprehensive review article discusses various aspects cigarette use, emphasizing relevance Zebrafish understanding risks human health. It also highlights novel experimental approaches technologies while addressing inherent challenges limitations.
