Smart-Product Service Systems (S-PSS) emerge as a novel strategy to integrate smart products with advanced digital capabilities and their related e-services satisfy user's needs in highly context-dependent environments. S-PSS has the potential generate transition towards more economically, ecologically socially sustainable practices business models due its adaptive capacities. Product-based companies worldwide attempt to integrate services into their offerings, embarking on "servitization" as a key strategy. These days, the acceleration of technological innovation (i.e., Industry 4.0) has triggered an emerging IT-driven business paradigm called digital servitization or smart product-service system (PSS) that embeds 4.0 technologies. As result these developments, related literature expanded across different disciplines in recent years. However, understanding and describing is not easy considering its volume variety. Establishing common ground for central concepts essential science. Thus, clarify important topics research issues PSSs 4.0, we carry out comprehensive review by performing text mining 419 journal articles. A machine learning approach applied learn identify specific topics, suggested references are manually reviewed develop state-of-the-art overview. total 10 identified, enabler–engineering–goal framework developed.
