Under the carbon neutrality targets, easy-installation low-investment photovoltaic (PV) technology is vital, while limited urban rooftop area and high building façade cost limit onsite PV installation. Thus, harvesting solar energy from road, namely pavement-integrated photovoltaic/thermal (PIPV(T)) technology, promising. The 2D finite element PIPV(T) models are proposed verified through field test with 3% (cell temperature) 7% (PV output) mean absolute percentage error. parametric analyses on system designs (water tank volume, water velocity, inlet temperature), weather conditions (solar irradiance, wind velocity), ground boundary condition influence conducted. temperature acts as a minor factor, design factors crucial, i.e., 32.76% thermal efficiency increase for 125 L volume increase. Results show that over 0.2 L/s flow rate recommended 100L tank, irradiance adds to 41.47% under 1000W/m2 11.38% influence. annual performances southern northern metropolises compared, variation considered. small leads low at 9.3% 12.17% in Hong Kong Beijing.

There’s a lot of hope for phase change material (PCM) in applications like sustainable energy generation and retrieval heat loss. Latent thermal storage (LHTES) systems containing hydrated salt (HS) at minimum-temperature have been the topic much study, particularly with regards to their behavior charging-discharging properties. The PCM was prepared by adding sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT), nucleation agent, thickness agent test tube. We monitored PCM’s temperature analyzed its characteristics. Natural convection dominant way transmission while over fusion threshold, whereas conduction mode when liquid formed during transition progression. Heat release efficiency as function tube diameter flow rate analyzed. Internal stainless-steel fins aluminium varying thicknesses were added increase transmission. shape storing shown significant impact on among fluid material. Charging discharging duration may be cut 28 % 25 %, respectively, because revised shape. Our findings from this study can serve an experimental foundation using LHTES system.
