The northwest region of Mexico stands out as one the areas with greatest contribution to national aquaculture industry, which has led its producers reconsider need innovate in processes technological incorporation sustainable ways. Thus, aim this study was determine attitudinal and motivational context perceived companies region, related innovation, competitiveness support programmes. By means Likert scaling, it possible identify aspects both domains that would facilitate development innovation within aquaculture. Such an escalation also showed intensify efforts, participation state, public private universities, well non-governmental organisations, develop strategies policies innovative technologies. research design is structured under a descriptive-explanatory approach, cross-sectional format, 108 surveys were applied. These designed using scale validated McDonald’s Omega method, ω = 0.773. Cronbach’s α exploratory factor analysis (EFA) employed, showing correlation between items construct subcategories. values covariance obtained through show 56% have greater than 0.05. This indicates there positive attitude motivation towards implementation from all three levels government.

Selenium (Se) is an essential trace microelement required for the overall health of humans and animals. The importance Se mainly related to its participation in structure selenoproteins with diverse biological functions, including antioxidant defense, immunity, thyroid hormone metabolism. functionality depends on chemical form (inorganic organic Se). Due low toxicity higher efficacy, nanoparticles (nano-Se) have been recently applied aquafeeds enhance fish performance. New technological advances offered different Omics approaches, such as transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, realize molecular mechanisms underlying processes. In recent years, approaches employed study nano-Se effects fish. present article summarizes impacts supplementation performance, then reviews qRT-PCR assay Omics-based used dietary

Meeting the global demand for aquatic products while maintaining sustainability is a critical challenge. This review article examines practices of land-based aquaculture systems that could be implemented in EU, as EU has not yet fully realized its potential developing sector. Therefore, different aspects (aquaculture systems, technological solutions and improvements, best management practices) achieving sustainable emphasizes need innovation cooperation face increasing environmental concerns resource constraints. There no one-size-fits-all solution intensification aquaculture. The way forward requires combination improved-upon complemented by better practices. broader application ecosystem approach to promotion energy efficiency measures systems.

In the present study, gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata) was reared using sustainable feeds containing insect meal from Hermetia illucens larvae. Proteomics and proton nuclear magnetic resonance-based metabolomics analysis were used to assess metabolic impact of tested in liver, whereas composition muscle fillets characterized by means gas chromatography fatty acid methyl esters. Including 10% while correspondingly reducing fish did not substantially alter metabolism dietary nutrients, leading small but significant effects solely on lauric content fillets. Furthermore, a few alterations some markers immune response, such as leukocyte elastase inhibitor-like, granzyme B (G, H)-like, two associated ortholog groups, serpin chymase, found. group fed with meal, liver morphology showed no structural damage or inflammation lower amount hepatic lipid deposition accumulation.

Biomarkers that give quantifiable information about disease development are valuable diagnostic indicators providing opportunities to thwart adverse outcomes through timely detection and initiation of countermeasures. Whereas human medicine already relies extensively on biomarker analysis, their application in the diagnostics fish diseases is still at a tentative beginning. However, increased utilisation broad-range analytical approaches such as untargeted proteomics enhances chances discover changes levels proteins, which connected health could serve novel biomarkers. In present study, proteomic analysis accompanied by biostatistical data processing was employed with aim identifying plasma candidates for onset heart skeletal muscle inflammation (HSMI) caused Piscine orthoreovirus (PRV)-1 infection Atlantic salmon. HSMI common viral threat welfare productivity Norwegian aquaculture, so early would allow intervention limit damage. search candidates, salmon sampled five eight weeks after PRV-1 cohabitation challenge experiment from adequate control fish, analysed mass spectrometry-based proteomics. The proteome dataset contained 695 proteins >90% probability correct identification according set cut-off criteria peptide quality. Time- condition-related differences protein abundance were revealed multivariate analysis. Comparison identified significant using three different models resulted short list four potential biomarkers: galectin-3-binding (Gal-3BP), fucolectin-6, urokinase plasminogen activator surface receptor ryanodine 3. physiological functions described these mammals designate them interesting inflammatory also other species, pathogenesis situ-hybridisation targeting Gal-3BP mRNA tissue sections same trial showed upregulation infected hearts compared controls, supporting findings suggesting role heart- inflammation.
