The landscape of cognitive states and their underlying neurobiological mechanisms has been significantly illuminated through advancements in neuroimaging computational modeling. This study introduces an integrated approach that harnesses network analysis machine learning techniques to characterize differentiate groups—Normal Control (NC), Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Structural networks are formulated analyzed based on diffusion tensor data a fusion graph theory mass-spring model methodologies. Alzheimer's disease is a developing public health concern in aging communities that affects sizable section of the global population. The risk increases with age; it one-third males and two-thirds women. This research attempts to assess effect nano-selenium thymoquinone on Nrf2 gene expression levels (AD). There were five identical groups 50 albino male rats: control group was healthy; an AD positive group; received (5 mg/kg); (2 both. duration treatment 4 weeks. brain tissues evaluated using real-time PCR. mean nano-selenium-treated rats, thymoquinone-treated rats given both treatments all increased significantly compared no treatment. study showed elevated AD.

Abstract INTRODUCTION The Virginia Memory Project (VMP) is a statewide epidemiological registry for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD) other neurodegenerative conditions. It aims to support dementia research, policy, care by leveraging the Centers Disease Control (CDC) Healthy Brain Initiative (HBI) Roadmap. METHODS To capture comprehensive data, VMP integrates self‐enrollment automatic enrollment using Virginia's All‐Payer Claims Database (APCD). also adapts Behavioral Risk Factors Surveillance Survey (BRFSS) modules self‐reported cognitive caregiving offering connections clinical services, education. RESULTS successfully codified in 2024 general assembly session. DISCUSSION demonstrates novel approach Related Disorders surveillance combining traditional functions with community engagement workforce development. To investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of elderly population regarding their intrinsic capacity, as defined by World Health Organization a marker healthy aging. A cross-sectional study was conducted at Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July to November 2023. Participants' socio-demographic information KAP scores were collected through self-designed questionnaire. total 507 individuals participated, with 53.25% being male mean age 70.76 ± 7.63 years. The attitude, practice 19.58 8.85, 30.07 4.81, 34.71 7.77, respectively. Pearson's correlation analysis showed significant positive correlations among (all P < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression indicated that knowledge (OR = 1.127, 0.001), attitude 1.189, current employment status 2.759, 0.009) associated proactive practices. Structural equation modeling demonstrated had direct influence on (β 0.572, 0.001) 0.776, while directly impacted 0.412, reveals lack but have attitudes behaviors about capacity. Enhancing education is vital for aging well-being.

The American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) population is increasing AI/AN people are living longer than ever before. Although aging-related health issues such as cognitive impairment, dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD) becoming more visible among this population, reliable data on AD prevalence risk factors nearly nonexistent. Concurrently, precision medicine (PM) has demonstrated significant potential for detecting treating diseases AD. For PM to promote equity underserved populations, it must not exacerbate existing disparities bias in research. There also little information about preferences communicating regarding AD, PM, or recruitment into clinical trials. Communication barriers few known facilitators contribute low rates of research participation. This study seeks address the gaps communities knowledge of, attitudes towards, interest participation AD-related efforts. We designed a three-armed RCT determine effect culturally tailored brochure video compared non-tailored materials. Participants were recruited Rapid City, South Dakota required meet following eligibility criteria: 1) identify AI/AN; 2) be able speak, read, understand English; 3) aged 40 older; 4) have decisional capacity consent sign date informed document. enrolled 914 812 been randomized condition. mean age 54 years (standard deviation = 10.3 years); 62% female.
