In the realm of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems, selection a weighting method holds critical role. Researchers from diverse fields have consistently employed MCDM techniques, utilizing both traditional and novel methods to enhance discipline. Acknowledging significance staying abreast such methodological developments, this study endeavors contribute field through comprehensive review several weighting-based methods: CILOS, IDOCRIW, FUCOM, LBWA, SAPEVO-M, MEREC. Each is scrutinized in terms its characteristics steps while also drawing upon publications extracted Web Science (WoS) Scopus databases. Through bibliometric content analyses, delves into trend, research components (sources, authors, countries, affiliations), application areas, fuzzy implementations, hybrid studies (use other and/or ranking methods), tools for these methods. The findings offer an insightful portrayal applications each method, thereby contributing valuable knowledge researchers practitioners within MCDM.

This paper proposes the use of AHP-Gaussian method to support selection a smart sensor installation for an electric motor used in escalator subway station. The methodology utilizes Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) framework and is highlighted its ability save decision maker's cognitive effort assigning weights criteria. Seven criteria were defined selection: temperature range, vibration weight, communication distance, maximum power, data traffic speed, acquisition cost. Four sensors considered as alternatives. results analysis showed that most appropriate was ABB Ability sensor, which scored highest analysis. In addition, this could detect any abnormalities equipment's operation, enabling timely maintenance preventing potential failures. proposed proved be effective approach selecting selected reliable, accurate, cost-effective, contributing safe efficient operation equipment.

Sustainable food supplier selection (SFSS) can be handled as an uncertain decision-making issue. The Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS), a type of non-standard set, offers expanded description space for articulating and data. Accordingly, this paper proposes synthetic decision method-based framework solving the SFSS problem within subjective context. Then, weighted distance measures PFS are introduced to derive importance degrees experts, which provide more objective result. information fusion method with PFS-weighted power average (WPA) operator is form group matrix competent accommodate deviation effect. Next, extended PF-measurement alternatives ranking according compromise solution (MARCOS) integrating PF-criteria through inter-criteria correlation (CRITIC) presented calculate priority each supplier, capture inter-correlations between criteria. Finally, numerical example implemented show application proposed approach. Subsequently, sensitivity analysis parameters comparison among different approaches were conducted test rationality advantages resolving problem. results that reported practical way resolve problems

Research and reporting on university rankings serve as valuable tools for students in evaluating universities understanding their current performance status. Within academic literature, are established using diverse criteria across various domains, each carrying varying degrees of importance. This study adopts a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) perspective to analyze the ranking Turkish Universities 2023. Data sourced from 2023 reports sixty-one Times Higher Education (THE) basis this research, with THE indicators—teaching, citations, industry income, international outlook—considered primary research criteria. The Method based Removal Effects Criteria (MEREC) method is employed ascertain criterion weights, while Weighted Euclidean Distance-Based Approach (WEDBA) utilized ranking. identifies "citations" highest significance. Notably, top-performing include Çankaya University, Fırat Bahçeşehir University. Furthermore, by comparing rankings, offers tailored suggestions universities. underscores importance deriving weights datasets rather than relying fixed facilitating more nuanced approach rankings. Moreover, it presents universities, offering insights strategic planning within sector.

Lithium-ion battery (LiB), a leading residual energy resource for electric vehicles (EVs), involves market presenting exponential growth with increasing global impetus towards mobility. To promote the sustainability perspective of EVs industry, this paper introduces hybridized decision support system to select suitable location LiB manufacturing plant. In study, single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) are considered diminish vagueness in decision-making opinions and evade flawed plant assessments. This study divided into four phases. First, combine information, some Archimedean-Dombi operators developed their outstanding characteristics. Second, an innovative utilization Method based on Removal Effects Criteria (MEREC) Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) is discussed obtain objective, subjective integrated weights criteria assessment least subjectivity biasedness. Third, Double Normalization-based Multi-Aggregation (DNMA) method prioritize options. Fourth, illustrative offers strategies choosing real-world setting. Our outcomes specify that Bangalore (L2), overall utility degree (0.7579), best manufacturing. The consistency robustness presented methodology comparative sensitivity investigation. first current literature has proposed SVNSs by estimating both objective considering ambiguous, inconsistent, inexact manufacturing-based information.
