Background/Objectives: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronic intestinal disorders with an unpredictable course. In parallel the advent of new biologic therapies targeting specific interleukin pathways, end-point targets have become more stringent, aiming for mucosal and even histologic healing. Methods: We conducted a prospective study assessing immunohistochemical (IHC) parameters in 46 IBD patients treated therapy. A similar IHC analysis was performed comparison cohort 10 "non-IBD" patients. Results: The highest integrated optical density (IOD) TNF-α observed dysplasia, abscesses, mucin depletion basal plasmacytosis. Non-responders had higher pre- post-treatment expression both UC CD compared to responders. Background: Microencapsulation improves the storage, handling, and administration of probiotics by protecting them from environmental factors adverse conditions in gastrointestinal tract. This process facilitates their controlled delivery body, which can simplify use therapies without compromising therapeutic efficacy. Objectives: study investigates microencapsulation Lactiplantibacillus plantarum LM-20, its probiotic properties, effects a murine model ulcerative colitis. Methods/Results: Synbiotic was carried out using spray drying with maltodextrin, gum Arabic, inulin, achieving an encapsulation efficiency 90.76%. The resulting microcapsules exhibited remarkable resistance to simulated vitro, maintaining survival rate 90%. did not compromise characteristics bacteria, as they demonstrated enhanced auto-aggregation, hydrophobicity, phenol tolerance. potential microencapsulated synbiotic evaluated dextran sodium sulfate-induced results revealed that mice treated LM-20 showed 83.3% reduction disease activity index (DAI) compared colitis control group. Background: An animal model of DSS-induced UC has been widely used in basic research, and the dysbiosis gut microbiome is one important pathogenetic mechanisms UC, but its dynamic changes correlation with inflammatory factors are not clear yet. Abstract: The recent rapid development in the field of extracellular vesicles (EVs) based nanotechnology has provided unprecedented opportunities for nanomedicine platforms. As natural nanocarriers, EVs such as exosomes, exosome-like nanoparticles and outer membrane (OMVs), have unique structure/composition/morphology characteristics, show excellent physical chemical/biochemical properties, making them a new generation theranostic nanomedicine. Here, we reviewed characteristics from perspective their formation biological function inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
