Electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) aerosols are complex mixtures of chemicals, metals, and particles that may present inhalation hazards adverse respiratory health risks. Despite being considered a safer alternative to tobacco cigarettes, metal exposure levels effects associated with device aging vaping frequency have not been fully characterized. In this study, we utilize an automated multi-channel ENDS aerosol generation system (EAGS) generate from JUUL pod-type using tobacco-flavored e-liquid. Aerosol puff fractions (1-50) (101-150) monitored sampled various collection media. Extracted prepared for toxicological analysis human primary small airway epithelial cells (SAEC). aerosol-mediated cellular responses, including reactive oxygen species (ROS), oxidative stress, cell viability, DNA damage, evaluated after 24 h 7-day exposures. Our results show higher particle concentrations in later (0.135 mg/m3) than initial (0.00212 mg/m3). Later fraction contain toxic concentrations, chromium, copper, lead, which elicit increased ROS followed by significant declines total glutathione viability. Notably, 30% increase damage was observed 7 days because This work is consistent becoming more hazardous across the use pre-filled pod devices, threaten health.

Metals have been used for many centuries, but their nutritional and toxic effects investigated since the last century. The common heavy metals (THM) include mercury, lead, chromium cadmium, arsenic. As human exposure to THM increasingly causes systemic organ complications, it seems required review recent advances of treatment metals. Despite current knowledge hazards metals, there is still high incidents poisonings particularly in developing countries. In this review, after an introduction, we briefly describe routes exposure, clinical features prognosis each metal poisoning. Then, different treatments with particular attention both acute chronic poisonings. main antidotes all are chelating agents, new agents were developed over past decades successfully Dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) known as succimer has prescribed a safe oral chelator lead Similarly, dimercapto-propanesulfonic (DMPS) also revealed fewer side than old agents. two currently gaining increased acceptance among toxicologists. However, no specific antidote mercury Dimercaprol almost longer choice Comparison management intoxication by five reveals similar strategies. On other hand, some them require interventions reduce toxicity. Because drawbacks application commonly bioactive compounds which antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties subject much interest research. despite promising results observed experimental animals, trials on therapeutic benefits not yet successful need further studies determine efficacy safety humans. Development less under investigations. Moreover, development orally administrable home health care would likely be great future

Heavy metals (HMs) are metallic substances. They enter biotic and abiotic systems through natural human activities. These HMs have an impact on the atmosphere, soil, groundwater, they also affect all living things, especially humans, when food chain. Therefore, monitoring removing from environment humans crucial for maintaining HMs-based toxicity. The detection of environmental samples has been performed by techniques such as atomic adsorption spectrometry (AAS) inductively coupled plasma mass (ICP-MS). With advancement AI-based technology, now detected removed systems. This review discusses health, their removal techniques, integration recent advancements in technology samples.
