Camellia seed oil (CO) has high nutritional value and multiple bioactivities. However, the specific anti-fatigue characteristics implied mechanism of CO have not yet been fully elucidated. Throughout this investigation, male C57BL/6J mice, aged 8 weeks, underwent exhaustive exercise with or without pretreatment (2, 4, 6 mL/kg BW) for 28 days. could extend rota-rod running time, reduce blood urea nitrogen levels serum lactic acid, increase muscle hepatic glycogen, adenosine triphosphate, anti-oxidative indicators. Additionally, upregulate mRNA Nrf2 protein expression levels, as well enhance its downstream antioxidant enzymes induce myofiber-type transformation from fast to slow attenuate gut mechanical barrier. Moreover, ameliorate dysbiosis by reducing Firmicutes Bacteroidetes ratio at phylum level, increasing percentage Alistipes, Alloprevotella, Lactobacillus, Muribaculaceae, decreasing proportion Dubosiella genus level. In addition, bacterial taxa, which were altered CO, showed a significant correlation partial fatigue-related parameters. These findings suggest that may alleviate fatigue regulating capacity, fiber transformation, barrier, microbial composition in mice. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Our study revealed camellia exercise-induced mice modulating fiber, results promote application an functional food targets oxidative stress, community.

Chronic diarrhea, including diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D), osmotic bile acid and antibiotic-associated is a common problem which highly associated with disorders of the gut microbiota composition such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) so on. A growing number studies have supported view that Chinese herbal formula alleviates symptoms diarrhea by modulating fecal microbiota. polysaccharides (CHPs) are natural polymers composed monosaccharides widely found in herbs function important active ingredients. Commensal has an extensive capacity to utilize CHPs play vital role degrading into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Many CHPs, prebiotics, antidiarrheal promote growth beneficial bacteria inhibit colonization pathogenic bacteria. This review systematically summarizes relationship among microbiota, chronic well recent progress on impacts advances possible diarrhea.

Fibromyalgia (FM) is often accompanied by chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). It a poorly understood disorder that mainly affects women and leads to pain, fatigue, insomnia, among other symptoms, which decrease quality of life. Due the inefficiency current pharmacological treatments, increasing interest being directed towards non-pharmacological multicomponent therapies. However, nutrition chronobiology are overlooked when developing This narrative critical review explore relevance nutritional chronobiological strategies in therapeutic management FM often-associated CFS. Reviewed literature offers scientific evidence for association dietary habits, nutrient levels, body composition, gut microbiota imbalance, alterations, their interrelation with development severity symptoms. highlights key role as relevant indispensable components multidisciplinary approach

The pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a degenerative retinopathy, remains unclear. Administration anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents, antioxidants, fundus lasers, photodynamic therapy, and transpupillary warming has proven effective in alleviating symptoms; however, these interventions cannot prevent or reverse AMD. Increasing evidence suggests that AMD risk is linked to changes the composition, abundance, diversity gut microbiota (GM). Activation multiple signaling pathways by GM metabolites, including lipopolysaccharides, oxysterols, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), bile (BAs), influences retinal physiology. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), known for its multi-component multi-target advantages, can help treat altering composition regulating levels certain substances, such as reducing increasing SCFA BA contents. This review explores correlation between two provide new perspectives on treating with TCM.
