Background The use of ChatGPT among university students has gained a recent popularity. current study aimed to assess the factors driving attitude and usage as an example generative artificial intelligence (genAI) in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Methods This cross-sectional was based on previously validated Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)-based survey instrument termed TAME-ChatGPT. self-administered e-survey distributed by emails for enrolled UAE universities during September–December 2023 using convenience-based approach. Assessment demographic academic variables, TAME-ChatGPT constructs’ roles conducted univariate followed multivariate analyses. Results final sample comprised 608 participants, 91.0% whom heard while 85.4% used before study. Univariate analysis indicated that positive associated with three constructs namely, lower perceived risks, anxiety, higher scores technology/social influence. This study explored the transformative potential of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) for achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal on Quality Education (SDG4), emphasizing its interconnectedness with other SDGs. A proprietary algorithm and cocitation network analysis were used to identify analyze SDG features in GAI research publications (n = 1501). By examining GAI’s implications ten SDG4 targets, findings advocate a collaborative, ethical approach integrating GAI, policy practice developments that ensure technological advancements align overarching goals SDG4. The results highlight multifaceted impact First, this paper outlines framework leverages enhance educational equity, quality, lifelong learning opportunities. highlighting synergy between SDGs, such as reducing inequalities (SDG10) promoting gender equality (SDG5), underscores need an integrated utilizing GAI. Moreover, it advocates personalized learning, equitable technology access, adherence AI principles, fostering global citizenship, proposing strategic alignment applications broader agenda. Next, introduces significant challenges, including concerns, data privacy, risk exacerbating digital divide. El uso de tecnologías en el aula ha sido un tema interés creciente la educación contemporánea. estudio investigativo explora disrupción provocada por las entorno educativo, desde perspectiva Teoría Unificada Aceptación y Uso Tecnología (UTAUT, sus siglas inglés). La UTAUT proporciona marco comprensivo para entender cómo los estudiantes una unidad educativa adoptan utilizan tecnologías, considerando factores sociales, psicológicos contextuales. Desde esta óptica, se examinan diversos impactos que introducción puede tener aula, incluyendo cambios dinámica del aprendizaje, interacción entre docentes, eficacia general proceso educativo. En revisión bibliográfica realiza análisis bibliométrico utilizando base datos Web of Science 2020 hasta 2024 idioma inglés, obteniendo 720 artículos total, posteriormente realizó representaciones gráficas con VOSviewer distinguir países autores mayor aporte científico ámbito adopción conforme Tecnología. Se observó crecimiento continuo estudios donde interviene método destacando a Malasia, República Popular China Arabia Saudita. Además, exploró implicaciones prácticas diseñar e implementar estrategias efectivas integración tecnológica educación, objetivo maximizar beneficios mitigar posibles desafíos.
