Abstract Counterfeiting of banknotes, important documents, and branded goods continues to be a major worldwide problem for governments, businesses, consumers. This has serious financial, security, health implications. Due their stability printing on various substrates, the photochromic anticounterfeiting inks have received interest. There been agents, such as polymer nanoparticles, quantum carbon dots, organic inorganic fluorophores luminophores, which broadly used antiforging applications. In comparison materials better under reversible/long‐term light illumination. Recently, remarkable optical characteristics chemical photoluminescent agents led extensive usage products. also several strategies tackle rising counterfeiting. Both solvent‐based water‐based developed security encoding purposes. Additionally, methods, including screen printing, labeling, stamping, inkjet handwriting, that apply onto surfaces are discussed. The limitations potential future preparation combat counterfeiting were review would benefit academic researchers industrial developers who interested in area printing.

Abstract Photochromic inks have been a tempting authentication method to make commercial items more resistant counterfeiting. However, recent studies shown that photochromic major drawbacks, such as expensiveness and low durability. Herein, we report the development of new nanofibers for cutting‐edge anti‐counterfeiting uses. Lanthanide‐doped strontium aluminate nanoparticles (LSAN) were synthesized immobilized onto electrospun polyurethane (PUNF). Anti‐counterfeiting materials encapsulated with inorganic agent can guarantee photostability LSAN function an efficient whereas PUNF hosting matrix. Both reversibility prepared UV‐induced LSAN@PUNF found be rather high. Applying varying ratios resulted in distinct emission properties depending on content. The nanofibrous films showed green under UV illumination, no traces detected visible daylight. displayed diameters 3–6 nm, had 150–450 nm. Transparency was indicated by excitation peak at 347 color 530 current approach presented technology prevent forgery products.
