Due to surface effects and quantum size effects, nanomaterials have properties that are vastly different from those of bulk materials due effects. The particle distribution plays an important role in chemical physical properties. measurement control this parameter crucial for nanomaterial synthesis. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) is a fast non-invasive tool used measure size, stability solutions or suspensions during preparation. In review, we focus on the situ sizing preparation form colloids, especially metal oxide nanoparticles (MONs). measuring principle, including overview techniques, advantages limitations theories DLS were first discussed. instrument design was then investigated. Ex-situ configuration DLS, sample preparations, conditions reaction cell studied. MONs monitored by presented, taking into consideration both ex configuration.

Abstract With rapid global industrialization, environmental pollution has become one of the major problems human society. Photocatalysis can be applied to solve problem by using inexhaustible solar energy. As a novel two-dimensional material, graphite carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) been widely in many photocatalytic reactions. However, terms its practical applications, g-C still limitations, including poor photoexcited charge separation, limited range visible light absorption, and low surface areas. Hence, current research on mainly focuses improving performance. In this review, we summarize various methods improve ’s absorption photo-induced transfer, vacancy engineering, morphology control, heteroatom doping, forming heterostructure. The applications derivatives photodegradation organic pollutants are also discussed detail. Finally, challenges future directions photocatalysts summarized promote their applications. Graphical

Doping is a powerful strategy for enhancing the performance of ceria (CeO2) nanomaterials in range catalytic, photocatalytic, biomedical, and energy applications. The present review summarizes recent developments doping with metal non-metal dopants selected most important are grouped into s, p, d, f block elements, relevant synthetic methods, novel properties, key applications doped collated critically discussed. Non-metal similarly examined compared using same criteria. reveals that (N, S, P, F, Cl) has mainly been synthesized by calcination hydrothermal it found mostly photocatalysis or as cathode material LiS batteries. In contrast, have prepared wider routes evaluated larger number applications, including catalysts photocatalysts, antibacterial agents, devices such fuel cells, gas sensors, colorimetric detectors. Dual/co-doped containing both metals non-metals also reviewed, co-doping often leads to improved properties single-element doping. concludes future outlook identifies unaddressed issues synthesis nanomaterials.
