Behavioral individuality is a ubiquitous phenomenon in animal populations, yet the origins and developmental trajectories of individuality, especially very early life, are still black box. Using high-resolution tracking system, we mapped behavioral genetically identical fish (Poecilia formosa), separated immediately after birth into environments, over first 10 weeks their life at 3 s resolution. We find that (i) strong present day birth, (ii) differences 1 predict behavior up to least later, (iii) patterns strengthen gradually time. Charting human brain maturation between childhood and adulthood is a fundamental prerequisite for understanding the rapid biological psychological changes during development. Two barriers have precluded quantification of maturational trajectories: demands on data estimation. Using high-temporal resolution neuroimaging up to 12-waves in HUBU cohort (N = 90, aged 7-21 years) we investigate apparent cortical thickness across adolescence. Fitting four-parameter logistic nonlinear random effects mixed model, quantified characteristic, s-shaped, trajectory thinning This approach yields biologically meaningful parameters, including midpoint (MCT), which corresponds age at cortex shows most - our sample occurring, average, 14 years age. These results show that, given suitable models, can be with precision each individual region.
