The improvement of habitat quality is great significance to biodiversity conservation. Irrational development activities lead the degradation and loss biodiversity, especially in arid inland areas where ecological environment fragile. In this study, InVEST model used evaluate degree Ebinur Lake Basin from 1990 2020, while PLUS predict land use change under various scenarios. Combined with results zoning planning, spatial distribution inertia (ID) protection (EP) scenarios 2030 were compared analyzed, optimal scenario was selected. following four conclusions are drawn: (1) From cultivated land, grassland, construction significantly increased, forest water bodies, unused decreased. (2) watershed showed an increasing trend followed by a decreasing trend. area proportion high has always exceeded 50 % total level quality. (3) Furthermore, combined human footprint index (HFI), planning for basin conducted. three zones divided into key protected areas, restoration moderate zones, proportions 53.69 %, 29.37 16.93 respectively. (4) By comparing ID EP 2030, we found that increased 2730.06 km2 scenario, which improved overall quality, more conducive security basin. study may benefit analysis temporal variation characteristics provide reference region.

The arid region in China with rich mineral resources are belongs to ecological fragile inadequate recovering capacity. Hundred years of continues mining for economic purposes, leads the problem land degradation caused by spatial coupling large-scale disturbance and environment. environmental problems created have not been addressed promptly, while at same time, new emerged. On basis our 20 practical experience on restoration areas, review synthesis selective literature, interpretation perspective, situation its impacts, factors impeding capability were examined, key challenges promotion strategy presented. main findings this study as follows: Land is most prominent resulting activities, mainly reflected immediate disturbance, long term effects degradation. faced area areas unclear objectives restoration, lack water consumption, unreasonable selection indigenous plants, serious wide area. Our experiments typical proved that micro-topography reconstruction measures can increase surface roughness, redistribute limited precipitation (especially snow), make soil nutrients carried runoff collected valleys regulate infiltration supply, so achieve water-saving non-irrigated vegetation restoration. ideal improvement coverage, available resources, ecosystem services areas. Ecological network construction and optimization is an effective way to balance the contradiction between regional development ecological protection in process of urbanization. The urban–rural fringe both a frontier zone direction urban expansion important space for improving environment. However, there are few studies on how construct optimize networks fringe. In this paper, morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA) minimum cumulative resistance model (MCR) were firstly employed initially reveal characteristics problems security study area. Then, new strategy with multi-scenario coupling gradient zoning was proposed meet maximization integrated benefits future protection. results show that: (1) Urbanization caused high fragmentation patches, exerted strong hindrance processes. (2) distribution constructed extremely uneven, communication north–south severely difficult. optimized significantly improved respect, priority corridors will also help strengthen gradient. (3) connectivity accessibility Licheng District, enhanced its structure, which promote overall cycle better balanced (4) Policy makers should implementation green forest belts achieve This can provide scientific references biodiversity conservation, infrastructure planning, sustainable

The continuous expansion and development of anthropogenic activities pose considerable threats to the habitats myriad species. Therefore, exploring how protect optimize species' achieve harmony between humans nature is particularly important. As a paradise for wildlife, Poyang Lake habitat breeding ground birds, fish, other aquatic organisms. In this study, adopting multi-level perspective 'point-line-area', we had an appliance conservation by constructing ecological security pattern (ESP) in Ecoregion (PYLE). We produced land use cover from 2000 2040 using random forest cellular automata-Markov model. Combining morphological spatial analysis, landscape index, Linkage Mapper, constructed long-term ESP PYLE considering protection. spatiotemporal dynamics were compared analyzed. results show that PYLE's rapid economic led extensive urban growth, encroaching on surrounding bare land, which could undermine local survival. Building an ecological security pattern (ESP) can safeguard and improve the structure, functions services of regional ecosystems. Furthermore, it is also one significant spatial methods to mitigate conflict between conservation economic growth. Most previous researches on construction ESP have directly utilized extensive regions forestland, grassland, water area or nature reserves as sources (ESs) without weighing habitat quality (HQ) protection red line (EPRL). The ES Dawen River basin (DRB) was identified through morphological analysis (MSPA) landscape connectivity index. By employing minimum cumulative resistance model (MCR), potential corridor (EC) identified, its importance evaluated by gravity model. Simultaneously, properties HQ (ER) were analyzed. Finally, this paper proposed optimization strategy for in accordance with EPRL. results indicate that: (1) DRB contained 15 important ESs, mainly concentrated mountain forest areas. (2) 105 ECs extracted MCR model, including 35 level 1 corridors 70 2 corridors, which primarily eastern region basin. (3) Based characteristics ER, well EPRL research, "one axis, two belts five zones" constructed control strategies proposed.
