Reducing pesticide use is of great significance for ensuring the quality and safety agricultural products, as well alleviating non-point source pollution. Exploring mechanisms by which environmental regulation drives reduction under different scenarios can help improve policy effectiveness promote sustainable development agriculture. Utilizing panel data from 30 Chinese provinces spanning period 2010 to 2023, this study empirically analyzed impact on through a fixed-effect model further explored moderating role economic scale in process. Moreover, heterogeneity analysis was conducted based regional dimensions, respectively. The findings reveal that, overall, there exists an inverted U-shaped relationship between use, where it initially increases then decreases. Agricultural scale, serving variable, amplifies promotional effect accelerates attainment inflection point curve. Regional analyses eastern central regions, while not significant western region. Notably, market-based exhibits more pronounced compared command-and-control regulation.

As a progressive and systematic initiative that necessitates the collective participation of society, achieving goals carbon peaking neutrality has had significant positive impact on transformation energy structure, development new industry, enhancement economic efficiency environmental quality, deepening international cooperation across multiple dimensions. This study examines how digital economy affects reductions in context China’s pursuit peak targets. To thoroughly examine regional influences agricultural emissions uncover its underlying mechanism, this uses regression analysis models using panel data from 31 Chinese provinces (not including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan) 2013 to 2022. In meantime, investigates spatial effects emissions. The results show rapid plays role reducing particular, every 1 unit increase level is associated with 0.125-unit reduction Second, expansion allows labor transfer, which indirectly suppressive effect through channel. Third, one area spillover effects, leading other cities. Fourth, these vary depending topography production. flat regions high-yield areas see greater compared steep low-yield areas. Therefore, research can help reveal path digital-technology-driven green agriculture provide scientific basis for optimizing carbon-emission-reduction policies sustainable development.

Rural revitalization (R), new-type urbanization (U) and the ecological environment (E) are a unity of complementary advantages mutual promotion coexistence, coupling coordination three is key to realizing Chinese modernization harmonious coexistence human beings nature. Based on China’s provincial panel data from 2011 2022, this paper constructed comprehensive evaluation index for R-U-E system, using entropy method, coupled model, Dagum’s Gini coefficient, kernel density estimation, spatial correlation analysis, Durbin model explore level development, spatial-temporal evolutionary characteristics coordination, regional differences effects systems. The following results were observed: (1) rural revitalizationand exhibits growing trend significant differences, with East China outperforming other regions, but average value below 0.5 needs be further improved. smoother growth trend, higher in South than regions. (2) has increased year year, barely coordinated primary coordination. (3) imbalance improved both nationally seven largest intra-regional smallest Central China. between Northeast regions exhibit widening while all decreasing trend. Interregional variations main factor affecting overall variance, their impact variance gradually diminishing. (4) obvious correlation, “high-high” “low-low” cluster aggregation was evident. (5) Government behavior levels economic growth, capital, digitization significantly contribute development region and, at same time, have spillover effect neighboring provinces; degree openness outside world contributed region, it had an inhibitory drive innovate only certain contributing Targeted policy measures response paper’s empirical findings may provide policymakers reference point achieving sustainable goals.
