Agriculture is of great importance in all societies, serving as the fundamental basis for producing food and ensuring survival human populations. The process agricultural production associated logistical elements face numerous difficulties, which are further intensified by worldwide water scarcity resulting from climate change. Nevertheless, existing body literature has not sufficiently addressed consequences on agri-food supply chains. To bridge this research gap contribute to mitigating global crisis induced change, study proposes a hybrid model that combines optimized neural networks based meta-heuristic algorithms mathematical optimization sustainable chain. proposed integrates particle swarm (PSO) feature selection convolutional network (CNN)-gated recurrent unit (GRU) with genetic algorithm (GA) structure predict consumption. Leveraging model's results, multi-objective agriculture chain developed optimize profitability while simultaneously addressing environmental pollutants, waste, usage, manufacturing costs time. evaluate effectiveness approach, real case Iran employed, providing both theoretical practical insights into design incorporates sustainability factors effectively tackles growing challenge scarcity. findings hold implications managers policymakers countries where growing. By integrating advanced techniques predictive models, offers novel framework enhancing chains pressing issues

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerabilities of global supply chains (SCs) and highlighted need for more resilient viable SCs. Panic-buying, in particular, has been a major challenge SCs as it can create sudden surges demand that are difficult to anticipate manage. However, literature lacks SC models strategies address panic-buying related challenges. As such, this research aims identify model recovery increase SC's agility, resilience, survivability reduce panic-buying's impact during large-scale disruption critical This study contributes by developing an integrated agent-based modeling (ABM) optimisation method simulate behaviour under different scenarios evaluating effectiveness four proposed three plans. findings reveal increasing production at decentralised manufacturing facilities be achieved order frequency multiple suppliers partnering with third-party transporters, which mitigate effects panic-buying. results higher output availability essential goods market, significantly managing Lastly, recommends practical solutions businesses enhance their SCs' responsiveness from

Agricultural policies are now orientated towards sustainable food production which integrate climate and biodiversity targets. Increasing the uptake of ecological approaches is intrinsic to success these policies. but this contingent on farmer acceptability practices. The agri-food supply chain has unique characteristics, such as perishability, high product differentiation, and safety requirements, which results in one-third of its production being lost wasted. is also responsible for emitting annually the equivalent 3.6 gigatons CO2. Recently, circular economy experienced advances non-perishable products, system been studied mainly through conceptual research. In contrast to other chains, there are conditions that stakeholders unable or reluctant explore when adopting alternatives. For instance, costs involved food recovery reuse, market advantages, regulations, education relevant incentivizing holistic sustainability sector. However, few studies have focused on adoption circularity this a complex system. decisions, incentives, obstacles alternatives within between echelons, why, when, how made them, not directly analyzed. context, systematic review existing publications domain was conducted discussed with two aims: (1) establish frontiers related by chain, referred (CFE), so understand characteristics decision-making process different chain; (2) summarize barriers drivers mentioned literature, including discussing their impacts what, who, decisions adopt CFE currently made. showed complexity studying chains revealed loss waste, cost-efficiency alternatives, policy-making, information communication technologies, customer preferences, stakeholder cooperation industry-academia-government collaboration key aspects process. Abstract The green supply chain of agricultural products (GSCAP) is a key link for rural revitalization and sustainable development in China. However, it faces various risks from internal external environments that threaten its performance stability. This paper proposes novel framework system identifying evaluating the main GSCAP perspective enterprises. combines social network analysis (SNA) an improved technique order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method. SNA used analyze correlations influences among different types risks, while TOPSIS method rank GSCAPs identify each chain. are verified case study CDYBIT, leading platform food safety big data service results show supermarket has highest risk, followed group catering chain, five‐star hotel lowest risk. risk factors also discussed, some suggestions management provided. contributes literature providing comprehensive systematic assessment GSCAP, which can help enterprises improve their awareness response capabilities.
