Based on panel data for 30 provinces in China from 2000 to 2020, this paper uses entropy method construct the integrated development indicators of energy Internet, and explores impact Internet reducing carbon emissions its internal transmission mechanism. The research results show that can significantly reduce regional dioxide emissions, increasing use renewable is an important mechanism comprehensive curb emissions. Heterogeneity analysis shows emission reduction effect brought by more remarkable regions with lower western China. Furthermore, finds setting promote natural gas consumption advance conversion efficiency. government’s emphasis technology has external strengthening reduction. expands diversifies pathways provides reference developing countries utilize internet achieve

This study examines the dynamics of transition to green economies in relation energy poverty European countries. By employing augmented mean group (AMG) and fully modified ordinary least squares estimations (FMOLS), we find empirical evidence that indicates influence variables representing processes transitioning on poverty. To further elucidate these relationships, Granger causality analysis was conducted. The findings this research contribute ongoing discourse surrounding from perspective productivity. It is observed improvements productivity are associated with a reduction prevalence Additionally, noteworthy relationship identified between consumption energy, whereby an increase corresponds proportion within overall mix. Accordingly, it recommended public policies complement societies measures aimed at ensuring adequate provision for population.

As an intensive mode of urbanization, a smart city may be conducive to achieving win–win situation regulating the urban economy and environment. Based on quasi-natural experiment in three batches pilot cities, we use difference-in-differences (DID) method examine impact policy CO 2 emissions by adopting panel data China during period 2003–2017. This study also explores influence mechanism heterogeneous effects policy. The empirical results indicate that China’s effectively lowered approximately 1.83%. primary finding remains reliable using propensity score matching (PSM)-DID for robustness check. Moreover, not only directly inhibits emissions, but indirectly influences through scale, structure, technology effects. Regarding heterogeneity, first-tier cities eastern area, which have larger population scale more resource endowments, tend stronger negative impacts emissions. these conclusions, highlight several specific measures reducing dual carbon targets China.
