In this paper, we present a novel class of hybrid polyketides, tenuazamines A–H (1–8), which exhibit unique tautomeric equilibrium from Alternaria alternata FL7. The elucidation the structures was achieved through diverse combination NMR, HR-ESIMS, and ECD methods, with focus on extensive spectroscopic data analysis. Notably, compounds 1, 4, 8–9 exhibited potent toxic effects growth Arabidopsis thaliana. This research expands structural diversity tenuazonic acid derived endophytic fungi provides potential hit for development herbicides.

Abstract Alternaria species are mycotoxin-producing fungi known to infect fresh produce and cause their spoilage. Humans get exposed fungal secondary metabolites as mycotoxin via the ingestion of contaminated food. Alternariol (AOH) (C 14 H 10 O 5 ) is an isocoumarins produced by different including alternata . AOH often found in grain, fruits fruits-based food products with high levels legumes, nuts, tomatoes. was first discovered 1953, it nowadays linked esophagus cancer endocrine disruption due its similarity estrogen. Although considered emerging no regulated food, occurs highly consumed dietary has been detected various masked forms, which adds occurrence. Therefore, this comprehensive review developed give overview on recent literature field AOH. The current study summarizes published data occurrence last ten years evaluates those comparison recommended regulating entities. Such surveillance facilitates work health risk assessors highlights commodities that most need regulation. In addition, effects cells animal models were summarized two tables; include two-year studies. addresses also main characteristics possible human exposure routes, populations at risk, effect anthropogenic activities widespread mycotoxin. commonly used detection control methods described latest discussed guide future researchers focus mitigating mycotoxins contamination industry. This aims mainly serve a guideline for regulation developers assessors.

The contamination of Alternaria toxins poses a potential risk to human health. This study developed rapid, efficient, and environmentally friendly method for the simultaneous determination five types in wheat using high-precision stable isotope liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. comparison between dilution solid-phase extraction shows that former achieves satisfactory results with simple convenient sample purification method. quantitative limit range is 0.88 1.68 μg/kg. recoveries are 81.40% 102.68%, RSD less than 11.95%. was used analyze 60 samples from main producing areas China. showed Tenuzonic acid had highest detection rate (100%), followed by Tentoxin (95%), Alternariol (66.67%), monomethyl ether (53.33%). Alternaria species produce several mycotoxins, such as alternariol (AOH), monomethyl ether (AME), altenuene (ALT), altertoxin (ATX), tentoxin (TTX) and tenuazonic acid (TeA). This research aimed to isolate identify mycotoxins from highly toxic alternata (w19) A. tennuisima isolates their phytotoxicity effects. Fungal metabolites were extracted 21-day cultures of in a Czapek broth medium with the organic solvent chloroform/acetone identified using HPLC method. infiltrated vivo into plant leaves for detection. The study investigated impact temperature, time, metabolite concentration on detached leaf infiltration technique. Five (TTX, TeA, ALT, AOH, AME) detected W19 959.24, 102.03, 24.01, 9.04, 2.44 ppm, respectively. these toxins lower concentration. Infiltration fungal induced chlorosis necrosis, which differs based species. Based our knowledge, this is first report Iran rapid wide range susceptible hosts.
