Land use land cover change in a landscape is the main driver of degradation ecosystem goods and services. This study was aimed at analysing dynamics LULC catchments water supply reservoirs as well impact on Ecosystem Service Values (ESVs) between 1985 2022. The benefit transfer method used to evaluate service value (ESV) changes response LULC. watersheds experienced substantial changes. As result, natural vegetation, grasslands, eucalyptus plantations declined dramatically, while settlements cultivated lands considerably increased. global local ESV estimates show dramatic decline ESVs According estimates, total Legedadi watershed has decreased from approximately US$ 65.8 million 11.9 2022 42.7 9.66 Dire 437 thousand 59 225 36 overall demonstrates that environment deteriorating result replacement by other economic uses. Hence, it highly recommended implementing sustainable management practices halt loss ecosystems must be high priority.

The study of ecosystem service value (ESV) response to landscape pattern evolution has become a research hotspot in the fields geography and ecology, however, multi-scale mechanism ESV change Karst region is still unclear, which some extent restricts precise regulation regional ecosystems multi-level human-land coupling coordination. This focuses on Nanming River Basin (NMRB) Guizhou Province, representative karst basin southern China. Using various methods such as an equivalent factor, index, optimal parameter geo-detector(OPGD), we calculated ESVs, explored spatial temporal from 2000 2020, scientifically analyzed ESVs at sub-watershed scale (27 124 sub-watersheds) grid (2.4 km × 2.4 1.2 grids), respectively. results revealed that synergies have been dominant relationship between NMRB since beginning 21st century. This study investigated the impacts of LULC changes on selected ecosystem services in Maze National Park (MzNP) and its environs southwestern Ethiopia. Landsat images from 1985, 2005, 2020 were used to examine land use cover (LULC) changes. Images classified using Random Forest (RF) classifier, their accuracy was computed QGIS. Ecosystem service values (ESVs) then estimated benefit transfer method employing Service Valuation Database (ESVD) coefficients. Additionally, socioeconomic survey conducted understand local community's perceptions regarding dynamics services. The findings revealed a significant increase croplands (103.7%) built-up areas (31.32%), while riverine forests, water bodies, wooded grasslands declined. overall ESVs decreased by 20%, 2038.42 million USD 1985 1628.72 2020, mainly driven reductions forests grasslands. As for individual period only food production increased 0.7 USD, supply, climate regulation, raw materials, recreation tourism declined 180.35, 2.67, 45.72, 481.62 respectively. coefficient sensitivity ranged 0.01 0.94, <1, that our estimates are relatively robust. such as grazing, recreation, wild food, firewood highly valued residents, but they declining over time due environmental degradation restrictions access park. Thus, understanding can help decision-makers design effective protected area management plans reduce potential conflicts resource uses. Assessing ecosystem services values (ESV) within land use/land cover (LULC) changes is crucial for promoting human well-being and sustainable development of regional ecosystems. Yet, the spatial relationship between LULC still unclear in Yemen. This study aimed to assess impacts on ESV Ibb City, over three decades (1990–2020), predict 2050. The hybrid use classification technique classifying Landsat images, CA-Markov model prediction, benefit transfer method (BTM) assessment were employed. Our findings revealed that there was a continuous increase built-up areas barren land, with decrease cultivated grassland, which are predicted continue next 30 years. Consequently, total has decreased from US$ 68.5 × 106 1990 65.2 2020 expected further reduce 61.2 by 2050, reflecting impact urban expansion socio-economic activities ESV. provides insights future monitoring, will contribute formulation effective land-use strategies more services, particularly rapidly urbanizing data-limited regions.

Ecosystem service value (ESV) reflects ecosystem functions and benefits; however, the factors influencing ESV mechanisms driving it in wetlands non-wetlands are not yet fully understood. The Yellow River Delta (YRD) is distinguished by presence of numerous wetland areas that both Reserve non-Reserve thus was selected as designated study area. In this study, spatiotemporal structures YRD between 2000 2020 were studied using land cover change analysis equivalent factor methodology. addition, we analyzed drivers behind geographical variability applying Geographical Detector method. results showed structure National Nature relatively stable, whereas area exhibited greater fluctuations; is, decreased 11.43% compared with more stable areas, where 4.93%. Furthermore, disparities distribution use types gave rise to a discernible spatial overall ESV, northeast exhibiting significantly higher levels southwest. Additionally, past two decades, center gravity regions has shifted towards urban centers, have migrated coastline. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index identified main driver heterogeneity. findings highly relevant regional ecological conservation promotion economic social development.

As a result, this study aimed to examine effects these ESVs during last four decades (1984-2022) predicted periods 2040 2060 by utilizing combination geoinformation, economic evaluation approaches. The modified value (ESV) coefficients were used estimate influence LULC ESVs. result revealed that overall ESV has declined from US$390 × 106 1984 US$273.21 2060.
