Sleep is a modifiable behavior that can be targeted in interventions aimed at promoting healthy aging. This study aims to (i) identify the sleep duration trend US adults; (ii) investigate relationship between and phenotypic age; (iii) explore role of exercise this relationship. Phenotypic age as novel index was calculated according biomarkers collected from adults based on National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). information self-reported by participants discerned through individual interviews. The principal analytical method employed weighted multivariable linear regression modeling, which accommodated for complex multi-stage sampling design. potential non-linear explored using restricted cubic spline (RCS) model. Furthermore, subgroup analyses evaluated effects sociodemographic lifestyle factors primary outcomes. A total 13,569 were finally included in, thereby resulting population 78,880,615. An examination temporal trends revealed declining proportion individuals with insufficient markedly deficient time since 2015-2016 cycle. Taken normal group reference, extreme short [β (95% CI) 0.582 (0.018, 1.146), p = 0.044] long 0.694 (0.186, 1.203), 0.010] both positively associated fully adjusted According dose-response age, benefit regular activity, whereas more tended have higher age. There an inverted U-shaped durations represents important step forward our understanding By shedding light topic providing practical recommendations habits, researchers help live longer, healthier, fulfilling lives.

Our study aims to examine the independent and combined associations of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentrations physical activity (PA) status with phenotypic age (PhenoAge). The analysis included 18,738 participants from NHANES 2007-2010 & 2015-2018. Phenotypic Age Acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) was calculated as residuals regressing PhenoAge on chronological age. Weighted multivariable logistic regression models were used relationship between 25(OH)D PA PhenoAgeAccel. Population attributable fraction (PAF) estimate proportion PhenoAgeAccel which could be avoided if exposure eliminated. multivariate-adjusted OR (95%CI) for high adequate 0.657 (0.549,0.787) (p<0.001) all, 0.663 (0.538,0.818) whose ≤ 65years old. Furthermore, there multiplicative interaction in 65 years old group (0.729 (0.542,0.979), p = 0.036). High level reduced risk by 14.3% 14.2%, respectively. Notably, 30.7% decrease both engaging concurrently. Combining above 80.4 nmol/l decreased 1.291 (p<0.001). Higher associated lower biological ageing. demonstrated enhanced protective effects, especially middle or young adults. These findings underscore importance outdoor slowing down aging process.

Muscle mass plays a pivotal role in health maintenance, yet its connection to biological aging remains underexplored. This study investigates the association between appendicular skeletal muscle index (ASMI) and phenotypic age(PhenoAge), while examining mediating of systemic inflammation. The analysis included 7,440 participants from NHANES 2011-2018. Phenotypic Age Acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) was calculated as residuals regressing PhenoAge on chronological age. Multivariable linear regression analyses were performed assess ASMI PhenoAgeAccel. Mediation conducted quantify extent which inflammation contributes this association. Our revealed that higher is linked slower aging, evidenced by lower PhenoAgeAccel (β = -0.48, 95% CI: -0.66 -0.29, p 0.0001). Systemic partially mediated effect, with mediation proportion 35.1%. varied notably across demographic health-related subgroups, being particularly significant females, individuals obesity, those physical activity. These findings highlight critical importance slowing emerging key mediator. public implications are substantial, suggesting targeted interventions-such resistance training, anti-inflammatory diets, personalized medical approaches-could play decelerating improving long-term outcomes.

Background Aging is an important factor in the development of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The senescent cells can be recognized and removed by NK cells. However, cell function gradually inactivated with age. Therefore, this study used senescence as entry point to investigate how affect AD. Methods validated correlation between cognition aging through a prospective cohort National Health Nutrition Examination Survey database. A cellular trajectory analysis population was performed using single-cell nuclear transcriptome sequencing data from patients AD different ages. genome-wide association (GWAS) outcome event, expression quantitative trait locus instrumental variable. Causal associations genes were analyzed bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) co-localization. Finally, clinical cohorts constructed validate key genes. Results demonstrated 2,171 older adults over 60 years Gene regulation revealed that most highly active transcription factors concentrated subpopulation trajectories for age populations. Aging is the result of a complex interplay physical, environmental, and social factors, leading to an increased prevalence chronic age-related diseases that burden health care systems. As global population ages, it crucial understand aged immune system, which undergoes declines in both innate adaptive immunity. This decline exacerbates aging process, creating feedback loop accelerates onset diseases, including infectious autoimmune disorders, cancer. Intervention strategies, dietary adjustments, pharmacological treatments, immunomodulatory therapies, represent promising approaches counteract immunosenescence. These interventions aim enhance function by improving activity interactions aging-affected cells, or modulating inflammatory responses through suppression excessive cytokine secretion pathway activation. Such strategies have potential restore homeostasis mitigate inflammation, thus reducing risk linked aging. In summary, this review provides insights into effects underlying mechanisms immunosenescence, as well its interventions, with particular emphasis on relationship between aging, immunity, nutritional factors.
