Four years post-pandemic, SARS-CoV-2 continues to affect many lives across the globe. An estimated 65 million people suffer from long COVID, a term used encapsulate post-acute sequelae of infections that multiple organ systems. Known symptoms include chronic fatigue syndrome, brain fog, cardiovascular issues, autoimmunity, dysautonomia, and clotting due inflammation. Herein, we review COVID symptoms, proposed theories behind pathology, diagnostics, treatments, clinical trials underway explore treatments for viral persistence, autonomic cognitive dysfunctions, sleep disturbances, fatigue, exercise intolerance.

The prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is on the rise, posing a significant public health challenge. Although gut microbiome dysbiosis has been implicated in impairment functions, existence pathological subtypes-linked differences remains largely unknown. We aimed to characterize intestinal microbiota patients with membranous nephropathy (MN), IgA (IgAN), minimal change (MCD), and ischemic renal injury (IRI) order investigate intricate relationship between CKD across different subtypes. conducted cross-sectional study involving 94 various patterns 54 healthy controls (HCs). clinical parameters were collected, stool samples obtained from each participant. Long-COVID affects a significant number of COVID-19 survivors, profoundly impacting daily life and work. Although research suggests potential link between antibody levels long-COVID risk, findings remain inconclusive. Understanding dynamics could support the identification patients at improve diagnosis, guide protective strategies such as vaccination. Despite growing evidence, no systematic review has yet evaluated current literature on this topic. We therefore aimed to synthesise evaluate existing evidence association anti-SARS-CoV-2 titres long-COVID, with goal clarifying their role in predicting guiding patient management, informing future directions. Abstract Background Following the pandemic of COVID-19, main focus has been on COVID-19 vaccines and herd immunity. Although safety shown in clinical trials, children with chronic diseases were not included. We investigated side effect profile adolescents kidney disease. Methods A questionnaire including demographic information, history vaccination status, vaccine-related effects was administered to patients disease (CKD) stage 2–5, glomerular treated immunosuppression, transplant recipients. Results Ninety-eight vaccinated CoronaVac-inactivated SARS-CoV-2 (n=16) or BNT162b2 messenger RNA (mRNA) COVİD-19 (n=82) vaccine. The mean age 16.90±2.36 years. most common local pain, fatigue, fever. No serious renal flare observed. There no significant difference reported after mRNA-RNA as compared Corona Vac-inactivated relationship found between frequency according age, filtration rate, immunosuppressive treatments, CKD stage, underlying Conclusion data are subjective because they obtained through a studies long-term follow-up needed, our early experience suggests that vaccine is safe young adults should be encouraged vaccinated.

Methods A total 138 samples 85 transplant with acute or chronic infections were simultaneously analyzed using and CT July 2021 August 2023. Results Compared CT, demonstrated a higher sensitivity (95.96% vs. 27.27%) but lower specificity (48.72% 84.62%) pathogen detection. Moreover, exhibited significant advantages detecting mixed rare infections. pathogens commonly identified severe respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), followed by Pneumocystis jirovecii Cytomegalovirus (CMV). guided precise clinical diagnosis 89.13% cases assisted altering therapeutics empirical antibiotic approaches personalized plans 56.10% cases, including treatment escalation (40.65%), initiation (11.38%), drug adjustment (3.25%), de-escalation (0.81%).
