Abstract Hydrogels based on natural polymers have bright application prospects in biomedical fields due to their outstanding biocompatibility and biodegradability. However, the poor mechanical performances of pure polymer‐based hydrogels greatly limit prospects. Recently, a variety strategies has been applied prepare with enhanced properties, which generally exhibit stiffening, strengthening, stretchable behaviors. This article summarizes recent progress properties. From structure point view, four kinds hydrogel are reviewed; double network hydrogels, nanocomposite click chemistry‐based supramolecular hydrogels. For each typical hydrogel, its preparation, structure, performance introduced detail. At end this article, current challenges future discussed it is pointed out that 3D printing may offer new platform for development

Abstract Skin wounds on stretchable parts of the body including elbows, knees, wrists, and nape usually undergo delayed poor healing due to interference their frequent motion. Ordinary dressings that are not flexible enough face difficulty promote wound mismatching between mechanics dressing materials wounds. In this study, an injectable, biocompatible, self‐healable, conductive material poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrenesulfonate)/guar slime (PPGS) is developed for with various kinds movements. As a proof‐of‐principle assay, effect PPGS explored skin model rats often experiences PPGS, which can be prepared within 1 min, successfully accelerates The results suggest has great potential in fields tissue engineering biomedicine.

Advancements in biotechnology and protein engineering expand the availability of various therapeutic proteins including vaccines, antibodies, hormones, growth factors. In addition, drugs hold many advantages over small synthetic terms high specificity activity. This has led to further R&D investment protein-based drug products an increased number approvals for proteins. However, there are biological biopharmaceutical obstacles inherent physicochemical enzymatic destabilization, which limit their development clinical application. Therefore, effective formulations needed overcome barriers. current medical practice, predominantly available injectable formulations, have disadvantages pain, possibility infection, cost, low patient compliance. Consequently, non-invasive delivery systems gained great attention research biomedicines. this review covers formulation approaches optimizing properties with emphasis on improving bioavailability It provides a comprehensive update recent advancements nanotechnologies regard systems, is also categorized by route administrations oral, nasal, transdermal, pulmonary, ocular, rectal systems.

Skin delivery is an exciting and challenging field. It a promising approach for effective drug due to its ease of administration, handling, high flexibility, controlled release, prolonged therapeutic effect, adaptability, many other advantages. The main associated challenge, however, low skin permeability. healthy barrier that serves as the body's primary defence mechanism against foreign particles. New advances in (both topical transdermal) depend on overcoming challenges with molecule permeation irritation. These limitations can be overcome by employing new approaches such lipid nanosystems. Due their advantages (such easy scaling, cost, remarkable stability) these systems have attracted interest from scientific community. However, successful formulation, several factors including particle size, surface charge, components, etc. understood controlled. This review provided brief overview structure well different pathways nanoparticle penetration. In addition, influencing penetration nanoparticles been highlighted. Applications nanosystems dermal transdermal delivery, regulatory aspects, were critically discussed.
