Abstract Background Obesity is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation, which underpinned by the presence of elevated levels circulating proinflammatory cytokines in obese individuals. Due to close relationship between adipose tissue and immune system, it can be speculated that accumulation fat may influence frequency phenotype lymphocyte populations. The aim our study was investigate whether body distribution B composition peripheral blood. We examined association visceral (VAT) total (TBF) frequencies B-cell subsets 238 subjects over a period up one year using random intercept models. were determined fluorescence-based flow cytometry. Results Inverse associations found measurements plasma blasts, memory cells, IgM − IgD cells. VAT, but not TBF, positively naive CD19 In analyses, both VAT TBF showed positive only Conclusions conclusion, seems lower proportion antibody-secreting blasts cells an increasing amount partially anergic,

Summary It is now widely understood that visceral adipose tissue (VAT) a highly active and dynamic organ, with many functions beyond lipid accumulation storage. In this review, we discuss the immunological role of tissue, underpinned by presence fat‐associated lymphoid clusters (FALCs). FALC's distinctive structure stromal cell composition support very different immune mix to found in classical secondary organs, which underlies their unique filtration, surveillance, innate‐like responses, adaptive immunity within serous cavities. FALCs are important B hubs providing B1 cell‐mediated frontline protection against infection supporting B2 cell‐adaptative responses. Beyond these beneficial responses orchestrated FALCs, cells VAT play homeostatic role. Dysregulation during obesity aging leads chronic pathological “metabolic inflammation”, contributes development cardiometabolic diseases. Here, examine emerging complex homeostasis metabolic complications obesity, highlighting potential emphasize areas where further research needed.

B and T lymphocytes demonstrate important alterations in patients with systemic lupus erythematous (SLE), a significant upregulation of double negative (DN) cells. The aim this study was to evaluate the correlation cell immunity changes distinct B-cell-pattern SLE. In present study, flow cytometry performed 30 remission SLE 31 healthy controls detect DN cells (CD19+IgD-CD27-) wide range lymphocyte subpopulations based on presence CD45RA, CCR7, CD31, CD28, CD57, defined as naive, memory, advanced differentiated/senescent Both were significantly reduced patients. However, percentage increased compared HC (12.9 (2.3–74.2) vs. 8 (1.7–35), p = 0.04). distribution CD4 CD8 demonstrated shift differentiated subsets. population had positive most early lymphocytes, CD4CD31+, CD4CD45RA+CD28+, CD4CD45RA+CD57-, CD4CD45RA-CD57-, CD4CD28+CD57-, CD4CD28+CD57+, CM, CD31+, NAÏVE, CD8CD45RA-CD57-, CD8CD28+CD57-, CD8CD28+CD57+. Multiple regression analysis revealed CD8CD28+CD57- independent parameters contributing cells, adjusted R2 0.534 < 0.0001. predominance is closely associated subsets, indicating potential causality role activation.
