Over the past decade, Nomenclature Committee on Cell Death (NCCD) has formulated guidelines for definition and interpretation of cell death from morphological, biochemical, functional perspectives. Summary Inflammasome biology is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas in immunology. Over past 10 years, inflammasomes have been recognized for their roles host defense against invading pathogens development cancer, auto‐inflammatory, metabolic, neurodegenerative diseases.
