Digitalisation in agriculture is transforming the way farming practised worldwide, and its potential benefits for smallholder farmers sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) are particularly promising. Yet, scientific evidence on digital technologies utilised by food producers SSA associated challenges still needs improvement. This review attempts to provide a thorough overview of currently being employed while also exploring opportunities. Through systematic literature search, 27 relevant studies were analysed identify region-wise current technologies, challenges, Results show that various employed, including extension services marketing agricultural products. These improve access information markets enhance productivity. However, hinder widespread adoption. Limited internet connectivity, low literacy, inadequate infrastructure, affordability issues impede progress. Gender disparities further limit equitable distribution digitalisation benefits. Despite these significant opportunities arise from adopting technologies. The advantages market access, better decision-making capabilities, increased income livelihoods. offers transformative possibilities SSA. It is still an open question how to assess the contribution of digitalisation in agriculture United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, and then can be done a responsible way. A socio-cyber-physical system (SCPS) concept help this analysis, but little experience exists with its operationalisation application, integration Responsible Research Innovation approach. To address gap, paper has twofold purpose: a) operationalise SCPS within integrated assessment framework adaptable multiple levels contexts, purposes (e.g. ex-ante, ongoing, ex post evaluation) shed light on impacts relation entities, relationships, activities; b) apply designed 21 multi-stakeholder platforms (Living Labs), which were established explore needs expectations specific subjects relevant for European agriculture, forestry rural areas. Blockchain technology is a distributed ledger that guarantees the immutability of data and asset tracking. Its characteristics can result in an improvement to traditional agri-food Supply Chains. Blockchain-based traceability systems let producers improve their visibility consumers trust products they buy where come from. Actual literature lacks exhaustive analysis benefits drawbacks applied domain. This paper aims overcome this issue: understand state-of-the-art related application sector, we screened 183 papers performed review answering six Research Questions. The work takes into consideration advantages disadvantages implementing such paradigm, with on role industries. main findings are research directions: regard lack training both for industries stakeholders, involvement additional technologies (i.e., Big Data, Edge Computing), absence supporting tools developers.

However, people rural areas are being left behind harnessing immense benefits for their livelihoods. This study contributes to policy efforts aimed bridging that gap by investigating drivers agricultural (AD) as well its effects on livelihoods smallholder farmers Ghana. Data from cross-sectional survey 525 across northern, middle and southern was employed. Using probit tobit estimators analyze intensity adoption technologies agriculture, results show while female trail male applying technologies, higher educational attainment, better perception digitalization, group/cooperative membership, number economically active household members, access reliable electricity, internet mobile money services significantly promote use activities. inverse probability weighting regression adjustment estimator mitigate endogeneity concerns, also AD associated with perceived improvements livelihood assets, ultimately outcomes These findings highlight importance investing infrastructure, policymakers, private sector other stakeholders, expand uptake agriculture bolster development

Notably, this influence is more pronounced eastern region China, followed by central western regions, indicating regional heterogeneity impact transition. Furthermore, found have substantial moderating effect, enhancing conservation emission reductions. As progresses, its capability diminish transitions emissions becomes apparent, particularly region, while less marked China.
