The rising prevalence of treatment-resistant neuropsychiatric disorders underscores the need for innovative and effective treatment strategies. gut microbiota (GM) plays a pivotal role in progression these diseases, influencing brain mental health through gut-brain axis (GBA). vagus nerve significant GBA, making it key area focus potential novel therapeutic interventions. Vagus stimulation (VNS) was introduced approved as refractory forms some neuropsychological disorders, such depression epilepsy. Considering its impact on several regions that play vital part mood, motivation, affection, cognitive function, VNS has shown treating variety disorders. Harnessing to target bidirectional communication pathways linking GM VN could present an exciting approach Imbalances GM, dysbiosis, can impair between brain, contributing development shows modulating interconnected systems, helping restore balance. Interestingly, composition may also influence effectiveness VNS, modify brain's response this approach. Vaccination plays a critical role in public health by reducing the incidence and prevalence of infectious diseases. The efficacy vaccine has numerous determinants, which include age, sex, genetics, environment, geographic location, nutritional status, maternal antibodies, prior exposure to pathogens. However, little is known about gut microbiome how it can be targeted through dietary interventions improve immunological responses. Unveiling this link imperative, particularly post-pandemic world, considering impaired COVID-19 response observed dysbiotic individuals. Therefore, article aims comprehensively review diet probiotics modulate composition, linked efficacy. Dietary fiber polyphenolic compounds derived from plant-based foods microbial diversity promoting growth short-chain fatty acids-producing microbes. On other hand, animal-based have mixed effects – whey protein fish oil promote eubiosis In contrast, lard red meat adverse effects. Studies further indicate that probiotic supplements exert varied effects, mostly strain dosage-specific. Interlinking diet, microbiome, probiotics, vaccines will reveal opportunities for newer research on diet-induced microbiome-manipulated precision vaccination strategies against

Objective: Schistosoma mansoni (S. mansoni) infection is endemic in Ugandan fishing communities. We investigated its potential impact on Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine responses and role mediating the association between gut microbiome long-term effectiveness of vaccine. Methods: Participants were tested for S. infections at baseline received Hep baseline, month 1, 6. Those with treated. Stool samples collected analyzed using 16S rRNA sequencing. The Wilcoxon rank-sum test was used to compare alpha diversity groups. A linear regression model applied estimate one-year by status, adjusting age sex. Results: total 107 participants included (44 from community 63 Kampala community). There no significant difference composition location or status discharge. In analysis, (β = 1.24, p 0.025) a higher 0.001, 0.07) associated responses, while older lower response −0.06, 0.0013). Conclusions: before vaccination may modify response. : This review investigates the impact of bioactive molecules produced by probiotics on child health, focusing their roles in modulating gut microbiota, enhancing immune function, and supporting overall development. Key metabolites, including short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), bacteriocins, exopolysaccharides (EPSs), vitamins, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), are highlighted for ability to maintain regulate inflammation, support neurodevelopment.
