Abstract This study investigates the sustainability and supply chain challenges in African renewable energy sector, offering solutions rooted green management principles Industry 4.0 technologies. Employing an interpretive research strategy, gathers insights from mini-grid companies, regulatory authorities, a global financial institution that fund projects across Africa. The findings reveal various SC issues related to importation, economic policies, regulations, logistics, skill gaps, corruption. Sustainability such as lack of environmental awareness poor end-of-life practices were also obtained. Proposed include GSCM like recycling, responsible sourcing, carbon footprint assessment, leveraging technologies Internet things, blockchain, big data analytics for smart metering management. highlights practical implications, advocating robust approaches resolving issues, policy enactment favourable synergy among government departments law enforcement agencies.

This paper proposes a GSCND that combines environmental, energy, and economic sustainability aspects of the crisis. Global SCs have been disrupted by epidemic, underlining need for GSCND. Environmental energy issues are closely linked to SC systems. By examining available total costs, integrated models aim ensure profitability investments effective use in An example quantitatively illustrates ability proposed model reduce costs public consumption. The enables several improvements reducing cost variables during weighted Tchebycheff method is used optimize mathematical modeling. network allows maximizing consumption while cost. special thing about this research it analyzes COVID-19 epidemic simultaneously from an financial perspective.
