Liver fibrosis is a complex process driven by various factors and key feature of chronic liver diseases. Its essence tissue remodeling caused excessive accumulation collagen other extracellular matrix. Activation hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), which are responsible for production, plays crucial role in promoting the progression fibrosis. Abnormal expression signaling pathways, such as TGF-β/Smads pathway, contributes to HSCs activation. Recent studies have shed light on these providing valuable insights into development Here, we will review six pathways that been studied more recent years.

Abstract This review compiles information from the literature on chemical composition, pharmacological effects, and molecular mechanisms of earthworm extract (EE) suggests possibilities for clinical translation EE. We also consider future trends concerns in this domain. summarize bioactive components EE, including G‐90, lysenin, lumbrokinase, antimicrobial peptides, serine protease (ESP), polyphenols, detail antitumor, antithrombotic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti‐inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, wound‐healing, antifibrotic, hypoglycemic activities action EE based existing vitro vivo studies. further propose potential anticancer lipid‐modifying therapies, its promise as source a novel agent wound healing resistance to antibiotic tolerance. The enzyme lumbrokinase embodies highly effective anticoagulant thrombolytic properties has advantage not causing bleeding phenomena due hyperfibrinolysis. Its antifibrotic can reduce excessive accumulation extracellular matrix. glycolipoprotein G‐90 effectively scavenge reactive oxygen groups protect cellular tissues oxidative damage. Earthworms have evolved well‐developed defense mechanism fight against microbial infections, agents shown good fungal, viral experiments alleviate inflammatory responses caused by reducing pain. Recent studies highlighted role lowering blood glucose. shows high medicinal value is expected be many compounds.

Nowadays, GSK3 is accepted as an enzyme strongly involved in the regulation of inflammation by balancing pro- and anti-inflammatory responses cells organisms, thus influencing initiation, progression, resolution inflammatory processes at multiple levels. Disturbances within its broad functional scope, either intrinsically or extrinsically induced, harbor risk profound disruptions to regular course immune response, including formation severe inflammation-related diseases. Therefore, this review aims summarizing contextualizing current knowledge derived from animal models further shape our understanding GSK3α β their roles process occurrence tissue/organ damage. Following a short recapitulation structure, function, GSK3, we will focus on lessons learned GSK3α/β knock-out knock-in/overexpression models, both conventional conditional, well variety (predominantly rodent) disease reflecting defined pathologic conditions with significant proportion tissue injury. In summary, literature suggests that acts crucial switch driving pro-inflammatory destructive contributes significantly pathogenesis inflammation-associated

ABSTRACT This study investigates the consistency of quality between traditional decoction (TD) Pheretima aspergillum and its dispensing granule (DGD) by examining their chemical composition antithrombotic efficacy. We first determined nucleoside components, protein content, volatile compounds in 10 batches TD 9 DGD sourced from three manufacturers using high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), UV–vis spectrophotometry, gas ion mobility spectrometry (GC‐IMS). Next, we assessed efficacy measuring relative length tail thrombosis calculating thrombus inhibition rates at 24 48 h. Our comprehensive analysis revealed that concentrations hypoxanthine, uridine, inosine, adenosine, proteins were significantly higher than those DGD. Moreover, types exhibited substantial differences, with 19 identified as differentially present two decoctions. Despite these compositional both demonstrated equivalent Overall, A B aligned closely TD. However, a overall compared to DGD, while decoctions maintained consistent
