Research into extraction kinetics is one of the crucial factors in a technological process. Extraction used predominantly when working with organic feedstock. The study substance complex process, which influenced by large number factors. This paper presents an analysis these factors, namely influence reverse sorption on process release from matrix. Sorption can directly affect intraparticle diffusion constants and, consequently, rate substance. Using buckwheat husk as example, its capacity was assessed to assess factor melanin release. To select optimal parameters chemical experiment carried out at temperatures 40, 50, and 60 degrees Celsius. Axelrud Baker–Lonsdale equations were describe kinetic models.

Silkie chicken, an important chicken breed with high medicinal and nutritional value, has a long history of being used as dietary supplement in China. However, the compounds health-promoting effects chickens remain unclear. In present study, we conducted comprehensive analysis metabolic lipidomic profiles to identify characteristic bioactive chickens, using common control. The results showed that levels 13 metabolites including estradiol, four lipid subclasses cardiolipin (CL), eight molecules, three fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (C22:6) were significantly increased which have physiological activities such resisting chronic diseases improving cognition. These on meat quality characteristics, its water-holding capacity umami taste increasing content aromatic phenols. differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between two breeds revealed regulatory network for these compounds. Fifteen DEGs, HSD17B1, are involved synthesis metabolites. Eleven ELOVL2, transport lipids acids. summary, identified analyzed their characteristics. This study provided insight into functional food.

Abstract Nanomaterials with biomimetic catalytic abilities have attracted significant attention. However, the stereoselectivity of natural enzymes determined by their unique configurations is difficult to imitate. In this work, a kind chiral Cu x Co y S‐Cu z S nanoflowers ( L / D ‐Pen‐NFs) developed, using porous nanoparticles (NPs) as stamens, sheets petals, and penicillamine surface stabilizers. Compared laccase enzyme, ‐Pen‐NFs exhibit advantages in efficiency, stability against harsh environments, recyclability, convenience construction. Most importantly, they display high enantioselectivity toward neurotransmitters, which proved ‐ ‐Pen‐NFs’ different efficiencies enantiomers. are more efficient catalyzing oxidation ‐epinephrine ‐dopamine compared ‐Pen‐NFs. efficiency oxidizing ‐norepinephrine ‐DOPA lower than that The reason for difference distinct binding affinities between nano‐enantiomers molecules. Nanotechnology is revolutionizing fields of high social and economic impact. such as human health preservation, energy conversion storage, environmental decontamination, art restoration. However, the possible global-scale application nanomaterials raising increasing concerns, mostly related to toxicity materials at nanoscale. The possibility using in cosmetics, hence products aimed be applied directly body, even just externally, strongly debated. Preoccupation arises especially from consideration that are synthetic origin, often seen "artificial" their effects unpredictable. Melanin, this framework, a unique material since nature it plays important roles specific cosmetics cover, photoprotection hair skin coloration. Moreover, melanin present form nanoparticles, clearly observable ink some animals, like cuttlefish. artificial nanoparticles share same biocompatibility natural ones chemical photochemical properties. Squid ink melanin can be efficiently extracted from the byproduct sac generated during squid processing. As a natural food colorant, it possesses inherent antioxidant properties and capability to adsorb heavy metals. This study aims investigate solubility of water-soluble (WSSM) obtained sac, as well its stability under various conditions including temperature, pH, salt, sugar, potassium sorbate, metal ions, sodium benzoate, sulfite (reducing agent), hydrogen peroxide (oxidizing agent). Moreover, explores scavenging effects WSSM on free radicals cadmium ions. The findings suggest that WSSM’s is insignificantly affected by high sucrose, salt. However, acidity, (Na2SO3), (H2O2) significantly influence stability. Most ions do not impact WSSM, except for Fe2+, Fe3+, Al3+, Cu2+, which result in precipitation WSSM. Additionally, exhibits remarkable activity with IC50 values 0.91, 0.56, 0.52 mg/mL superoxide anion (O2−·), hydroxyl (·OH), DPPH radicals, respectively. It also demonstrates ability Cd2+, adsorption rate gradually increasing higher temperature larger amounts added. Infrared spectroscopy analysis reveals weakening characteristic peaks (-COOH -OH) process Cd2+ while SEM confirms surface roughening structural damage after adsorption. provides valuable insights utilization products antioxidants adsorbents industry.

Melanin is a widely occurring biopolymer and has been the subject of much research, especially in dermatology. However, from resource perspective, melanin still an unutilized biomass because its complex three-dimensional cross-linked structure, which makes it challenging to handle. Here, we demonstrate upcycling by decomposing preparing polymeric materials products. A detailed study chemical decomposition products artificial melanin, i.e., polydopamine, reveals that are mainly oligomeric pyrrole derivatives containing carboxylic acids. Furthermore, experiments using natural extracted cuttlefish ink revealed composition almost identical regardless source. We proposed mechanism demonstrated preparation biobased polymer films particles The use as building blocks for material expected lead development new biodegradable polymers biomass.
