Sarcopenia is the age-related loss of muscle mass and function. India has 8.6% global elderly (>60 years) population, this expected to increase 20% by 2050. Around 70% Indians live in rural areas where lifestyle factors like diet physical activity differ from urban areas. Understanding age, sex location-specific sarcopenia prevalence crucial. Thus, our aim was assess determinants community-dwelling men women aged 40 years older, representing next generation older Indian adults. This cross-sectional study included 745 adults (400 women) near Pune, Western India. Assessments socio-demography, by-24-hr recall, activity, anthropometry (height, weight), measurement dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, strength (hand grip) & function Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB). defined Asian Working Group on Sarcopenia-2019 guidelines Mean age participants 53±7.6yrs. Objectives: Due to variations in the standards for optimal protein intake and conflicting results across studies Korean older adults, this study aimed quantitatively integrate existing research on association of with sarcopenia related indicators Koreans aged 65 through meta-analysis. Methods: A total 23 were selected according selection criteria (PICOS). Sixteen cross-sectional studies, 5 randomized controlled trials (RCTs), 2 non-RCTs included review, 9 out We used fixed-effects models performed subgroup sensitivity analyses. Results: meta-analysis found that risk was significantly higher <0.8 g/kg/day group compared 0.8–1.2 ≥1.2 groups, odds ratios (ORs) 1.25 (95% confidence interval (CI), 1.10 1.42; I2 = 55%) 1.79 CI, 1.53 2.10; 71%), respectively. For low hand grip strength (HGS), or groups (OR 1.31; 95% 1.03 1.65; 28%). No significant associations other indicators, such as skeletal muscle mass, short physical performance battery score, balance test, gait speed, timed up-and-go test. Conclusions: Lower is associated a HGS adults. To establish recommendations prevention management population, further well-designed RCTs incorporating both supplementation resistance training are necessary.

Proteins are macronutrients with multiple health benefits, but excessive consumption can negatively affect health. This study aimed to evaluate the characteristics of a sample high-protein processed foods (HPPFs), describe how their affects dietary balance, and acquire knowledge patterns these products in Spanish population. A HPPFs available supermarkets on websites was collected. The contribution recommended protein intakes calculated using national international references considering single product plus 150 g meat. Furthermore, an online survey conducted among convenience sample. total 36 enriched were evaluated. percentage proteins ranges from 10 88%. intake within range 87.4–306.6% 66.4–232.8% (women men, respectively), only additional One hundred thirty-nine participants completed survey; 67.6% affirmed that they had consumed HPPFs, half them without following any control. Since accessible everyone is generally higher than limits, regulating mass sale essential ensure do not lead overconsumption.
