Abstract
Objective
Accreditation
bodies

curriculum

Simulation-based
(SBE)
addresses
challenges

the
impact
an
AI-powered
Automated
System
Protocol
(ASP)
for
grading
students'
post-encounter
notes
Clerkship
OSCEs,
comparing
it
to
legacy
human
grader
system.
Methods
The
ASP,
utilizing
GPT-4,
mapped
rubric
items
prompts.
Analyzing
from
684
medical
students
across
four
academic
years,
we
compared
ASP
with
Standardized
Patient
Evaluator
(SPE)
grades.
Time
efficiency,
cost
savings,
and
ROI
analyses
assessed
educational
financial
implications.
Results
Significant
savings
efficiency
gains
were
observed
GPT-4
comparison
SPEs.
Cost
Investment
totaled
$69,112
over
1,150
hours.
Comparing
three
SP
graders
yielded
$13,112
increased
costs
initial
time
investment
was
required.
However,
beyond
development
execution-only,
legacy,
showed
589.44%,
saving
$47,877
87.5%
efficiency.
ASP-execution
versus
MD
demonstrated
even
stronger
797.09%.
Conclusion
Implementing

BACKGROUND:
