In particular, global numbers mammals, birds, fishes, and plants declined by 68% from 1970 to 2016. One most widely accepted measures halt rate biodiversity loss maintain expand protected areas that are effectively managed. However, doing so requires substantial finance derived nature-based tourism, specifically visitors urban areas. Abstract Biodiversity loss is happening at an unprecedented rate, especially in countries like Vietnam, with rich biodiversity and a high population growth rate. One of the main causes Vietnam unsustainable bushmeat consumption rate urban areas. To help mitigate demand for bushmeat, this study aims to examine associations between perceptions, perception toward prohibition illegal wildlife consumption, behaviors among residents Vietnam. The investigation employed Bayesian Mindsponge Framework (BMF)—an analytical framework that combines strengths mindsponge mechanism inference facilitate into psychological behavioral issues—on 535 respondents from areas across (mostly two centers Ho Chi Minh Hanoi). We found people perceiving environmental degradation, losses economic growth, nature‐based recreation opportunities, health, knowledge as consequences were more likely support consumption. Although tended consume less frequently if they perceived loss, degradation had opposite effect on behavior. Additionally, consuming supporting preventive measure seemed share similar features: income educational levels. These paradoxical results hint cultural additivity phenomenon—the willingness incorporate one's mind new values might or not logically contradict their existing core values—and its influence psychology behavior Vietnamese residents. Given additivity, it recommended put tougher measures (e.g., financial punishment) perspective so can recognize “cost” change perceptions accordingly. Apart that, social marketing, demarketing, campaigns should convey information receivers relate subjective cost‐benefit judgments rather than rarity species avoid triggering anthropogenic Allee effect—for example, emphasizing penalty negative impacts humans targeted knowledge).

Patients with serious illnesses or injuries may decide to quit their medical treatment if they think paying the fees will put families into destitution. Without treatment, it is likely that fatal outcomes soon follow. We call this phenomenon "near-suicide". This study attempted explore by examining how seriousness of patient's illness injury and subjective evaluation family's financial situation after affect final decision on process. Bayesian Mindsponge Framework (BMF) analytics were employed analyze a dataset 1042 Vietnamese patients. found more patients were, choose perceived heavily affected families' status. Particularly, only one in four most health issues who thought continuing would push themselves destitution continue treatment. Considering information-filtering mechanism using cost-benefit judgments, these chose well-being future family members over individual suffering inevitable death. Our also demonstrates mindsponge-based reasoning BMF can be effective designing processing data for studying extreme psychosocial phenomena. Moreover, we suggest policymakers implement adjust policies (e.g., insurance) following scientific evidence mitigate patients' likelihood making "near-suicide" decisions improve social equality healthcare system.

Concern about energy depletion has risen because of industrialization and consumerism, pushing a transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources. To this end, every group within society, especially the youth, should be made responsible for confronting and/or mitigating environmental problems. This study advances understanding young adults’ intentions learn conservation its influencing factors, as well contributes literature on management culture development. We used systematic random sample technique conduct large-scale online survey with 1454 students 48 different Vietnamese universities employed Bayesian regression model analyze data. The initial research indicates that adults are highly concerned environment, but more work done turn perceptions into actions. majority respondents—nearly 83%—want increase their energy-saving knowledge, around 50% interested in enrolling an course. Their decision regarding participation course is largely influenced by perception income. Women were inclined take courses, people who lived rural areas had stronger desire knowledge. As one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, Vietnam is tackling environmental pollution, particularly plastic waste. This study contributes to literature on culture and practical solutions by better understanding households’ behaviours motivations for (i) sorting waste, (ii) contributing fund (iii) relocating. The questionnaire-based interview method was used randomly collect information from 730 households in 25 provinces during February 2022. Bayesian regression models, coupled with mindsponge mechanism, were applied analyse data. results showed that people’s strategies responses waste pollution vary: 38.63% respondents at home, 74.25% agreed contribute fund, 23.56% had a plan relocate living place. intentions driven several structural contextual factors such as age household head, income, care about environment, perceived effects polluted More importantly, communication robust variable decisions, which suggested would help increase awareness real actions reducing ultimately improving environment. These findings will benefit ongoing green economy, circular growth transition toward more sustainable development, developing fast-population-growing countries.

Abstract The rise of emotional AI signals a new era in human-machine relations where intelligent machines not only feel but also feed on human emotions as statistical fodder with the goal reshaping our behavior. Unlike many smart technologies, emotion-recognition systems sense, monitor, harvest and analyze data extracted from person’s non-conscious or psycho-physical state, often without their knowledge consent. As far more invasive manner surveillance capitalism, technological adoption is problematized by myriad legal, ethical, cultural, scientific issues. To better understand behavioral factors determining an individual’s attitude towards this emerging technology, we first identify five major tensions that may impinge adoption. Second, extend Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) (Davis, 1989) model insights mindsponge information filtering (Vuong Napier, 2015) along quantitative affordances offered Bayesian computational approach. Our analysis was conducted based multi-national dataset surveying perceptions 1015 young adults (age 18–27) regarding applications socio-cultural characteristics such income, region, religiosity, home country politics. These are fed into multi-level models varying intercepts so can systematically measure compare effects various determinants attitudes respondents harvesting government private sector actors. Critically, study finds who familiar with, perceive utilities well rate themselves restrained heated arguments social media, less threatened practice both findings offer fertile platform for further exploration intersection between psychology, culture, technologies important policymakers wishing to ensure design regulation technology serve best interests society.
