E. extracts active against both Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria showed antimycotic effects fungi Microsporum canis Trichophyton tonsurans dermatophytes Arthroderma spp. Greater susceptibility than fireweed strong effect recorded Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Micrococcus luteus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii including multi-drug resistant strains. might find practical application as wound healing, components cosmetic products human animals, food preservatives.
