Gallstone disease (GSD) and metabolic syndrome (MetS) are increasingly prevalent conditions with significant global health implications. Recent evidence highlights a strong epidemiological association between these disorders, driven by shared pathophysiological mechanisms. This review provides comprehensive analysis of the intricate relationship MetS GSD, focusing on role insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, obesity, gut microbiota dysbiosis in gallstone formation. An integrated model is proposed, linking disturbances to bile cholesterol supersaturation, gallbladder dysmotility, chronic inflammation. The also explores clinical implications, including risk prediction models based parameters, early detection biomarkers, targeted interventions such as lifestyle modifications, pharmacological therapies, microbiome modulation. By addressing underpinnings this synthesis offers foundation for developing preventive therapeutic strategies mitigate burden interconnected conditions. Future research directions outlined refine mechanistic insights improve outcomes.

As a critical juncture in the pathological continuum from gastritis to gastric cancer, precancerous lesions of cancer (PLGC) are increasingly prevalent, significantly undermining health global population. The primary constituents bile, specifically bile acids (BAs), disrupt equilibrium hormone secretion and compromise structural integrity mucosa, thereby facilitating oncogenesis. Moreover, gut microbiota modulate host physiological processes through immune response regulation, metabolic pathway interference, direct interaction with tumor cells. Extensive research has elucidated that dysregulation BAs microbiota, concert resultant impairment central pathogenesis PLGC. In anticipation future clinical preventive therapeutic strategies, this review collates recent insights into roles bacteria PLGC, examining their interplay significance pathogenic mechanism

The gut-lung axis, a vital signaling network linking the gastrointestinal and pulmonary systems, regulates immune responses progression of respiratory diseases. Nutritional components can modulate gut microbiome regulate synthesis critical intestinal microbial metabolites, which are essential for maintaining homeostasis supporting health. Conversely, poor dietary habits exacerbate asthma other conditions through modulation systemic inflammation responses. Dietary interventions, such as Mediterranean diet, reported to restore balance improve health by increasing production anti-inflammatory potentiating responses, preserving epithelial barrier integrity. In contrast, Western patterns, characterized high fat low fiber intake, disrupt diversity, resulting in increased levels pro-inflammatory metabolites that aggravate airway severity. This review aimed elucidate mechanisms underlying regulatory effects microbes their on asthma. Additionally, previous findings related axis have been summarized, providing insights into potential therapeutic strategies management.

Scope Adipose tissue macrophages (ATMs) are crucial in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance (IR). Intermittent fasting (IF) is an effective intervention for obesity. However, underlying mechanism by which IF improves IR remains unclear. Methods and results Male C57BL/6J mice fed chow‐diet high‐fat diet (HFD) 12 weeks, then randomized into ad libitum feeding or every other day 8 weeks. Markers ATMs expression uncoupling protein 1 (UCP‐1) determined. Gut microbiota bile acids (BAs) profiled using 16S rRNA sequencing targeted metabolomics analysis. Results indicate that HFD‐induced decreases ATM infiltration, pro‐inflammatory M1 gene expression, promotes white adipose (WAT) browning elevating UCP‐1 expression. restructures composition, significantly expanding abundance Verrucomicrobia particularly Akkermansia muciniphila , with decrease Firmicutes . increases level total BAs alters composition higher proportion 12α‐hydroxylated (12α‐OH) BAs. The changes these correlated differential bacteria. Conclusion findings partially mediated interplay between restructured gut metabolism, has implications dietary management

The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential effects administering mangaba powder on liver function and somatic, oxidative lipid metabolism parameters in rats fed a high-fat diet. Prepared has important amounts phenolic compounds, vitamin C, dietary fiber oligosaccharides. A total 32 adult Wistar were initially randomized into two groups for biological assay: normal-fat (NF, n = 16) (HF, diets 21 days. These subsequently subdivided four groups: NF (n 8), HF diet with administration (NFMG, 8) (HFMG, 8). treatment (400 mg/kg) lasted an additional 28 Compared rats, HFMG showed 8% reduction body mass index. Treatment reduced serum cholesterol by 18%, as well hepatic deposition triacylglycerides 26% 25%, addition increasing bile acid synthesis 77% organ. Mangaba consumption attenuated degree steatosis, peroxidation increased antioxidant capacity rats. results show that had lipid-lowering, hepatoprotective effects, especially which may be associated additive synergistic action between bioactive compounds present product.
