Several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have investigated the potential benefits of green tea on inflammatory process in metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, results are inconclusive and inconsistent. In present study, we performed a literature review meta-analysis to evaluate effect supplementation markers [e.g., tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6)] among patients with MetS related disorders. We systematically searched for relevant publications up March 2022 PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, SciELO databases. The was registered PROSPERO (CRD42022320345). Mean differences 95% confidence intervals were pooled basis random effects model compare placebo. used meta-regression subgroup analyses determine cause heterogeneity study quality assessment using Grading Recommendations Assessment, Development, Evaluation method. assessed publication bias funnel plots Egger's tests. Out total 15 RCTs that included this systematic review, 12 chosen meta-analysis. revealed significantly decreased TNF-α levels but did not affect CRP IL-6 levels. Subgroup analysis showed studies lasting ≤8 weeks increased Furthermore, demonstrated significant association between increasing concentration treatment duration. According our meta-analysis, shown considerably lower circulating To confirm these findings, carefully planned required.

Abstract Background and Aims To identify the patterns of coffee drinking timing in US population evaluate their associations with all-cause cause-specific mortality. Methods This study included 40 725 adults from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 1999–2018 who had complete information on dietary data 1463 Women’s Men’s Lifestyle Validation Study 7-day record. Clustering analysis was used to timing. Results In this observational study, two distinct [morning type (36% participants) all-day-type (14% participants)] were identified validated Study. During a median (interquartile range) follow-up 9.8 (9.1) years, total 4295 deaths, 1268 cardiovascular disease 934 cancer deaths recorded. After adjustment for caffeinated decaffeinated intake amounts, sleep hours, other confounders, morning-type pattern, rather than significantly associated lower risks (hazard ratio: .84; 95% confidential interval: .74–.95) disease-specific .69; .55–.87) mortality as compared non-coffee drinking. Coffee modified association between amounts (P-interaction = .031); higher risk participants pattern but not those pattern. Conclusions Drinking morning may be more strongly later day.

Abstract This study investigates the chemical composition and antioxidant properties of coffee beans at different roasting stages, namely green coffee, filter-roasted espresso-roasted coffee. Using a Golden Roaster machine, specific profiles were developed to achieve distinct flavor characteristics: an intense balanced acidity for espresso, balanced, complex taste filter Results indicate that exhibits highest radical scavenging activity, as evidenced by its lowest IC 50 value 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) inhibition. Green demonstrates superior iron chelation while contains flavonol content has flavonoid content. Bacterial sensitivity tests show both are effective against certain strains, including Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 13883. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis identifies key compounds such caffeine 4,4-dimethyl-3-(3-methylbut-3-enylidene)-2-methylenebicyclo [4.1.0] heptane in 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) buta-1,3-diene Molecular docking silico molecule’s absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, toxicity (ADME) studies suggest potential pharmaceutical applications compounds. These findings provide valuable insights into coffee’s chemistry health-related properties. Coffee presents beneficial health properties, including antiobesity effects. However, its effects on inflammation are controversial. Hydroxycinnamic acids the main coffee phenolic bioactive compounds. In human bioavailability studies carried out with coffee, among most abundant compounds found in urine and plasma were colonic metabolites, dihydrocaffeic (DHCA), dihydroferulic (DHFA), hydroxyhippuric (HHA) acids. To understand hepato-protective potential of these three compounds, we tested whether treatment realistic concentrations (0.5-10 µM) effective to counteract inflammatory process oxidative status induced by tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α). First, established a novel model inflammation/oxidation using TNF-α HepG2 cells. Afterwards, evaluated activity DHCA, DHFA, HHA against inflammatory/oxidative challenge through determination mediators, interleukins (IL)-6, IL-8 chemokines, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, macrophage as well levels biomarkers stress, such reactive oxygen species, reduced glutathione, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase reductase. Results showed that all have effect insult.

Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) is a chronic oral mucosal disease, which exerts profound impact on patients' daily life and currently lacks efficacious therapeutic interventions. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), the abundant polyphenol found in green tea, exhibits remarkable anti-fibrotic effects skin. However, research OSF regarding EGCG relatively limited. We aimed to investigate potential effect of against using an arecoline (ARE) -induced rat model primary fibroblasts. Primary fibroblasts (ROMF) were isolated identified. Optimal ARE concentrations established Cell Counting Kit-8. The extracellular matrix (ECM)-related protein expression was assessed through RT-qPCR Western blot techniques. Similarly, ARE-induced ECM changes ROMF evaluated. study also Sprague-Dawley rats, induced by ARE, with pathological characterized HE Masson's staining, further assessing ECM-related tissues methods. effectively suppressed components while concurrently improving process vitro vivo. results indicate that natural product increased improved process, indicating could be potentially novel candidate drug for treatment OSF.
