The enhancement of tribological properties represents a pivotal strategy for achieving energy efficiency and environmental protection. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanomaterials have been garnering significant attention due to their exemplary the abundance titanium reserves. present review is concerned with study TiO2 in lubricants. various synthesis methods are presented. dispersion stability these lubricating oils discussed depth, as well strategies improve stability, such enhancing compatibility base oils, reducing dynamic light scattering (DLS) particle size, modulating zeta potential, optimizing drying step. Aggregation instability remain key challenges nanomaterials, especially bare nanoparticles (NPs). In contrast, situ surface-modified NPs show improved performance, offering promise further research. performance lubricants has demonstrated be enhanced by observed attributed synergistic effect multiple mechanisms, including rolling, patching, polishing, formation protective film. Furthermore, future research suggestions proposed provide reference design high-performance nano-lubricants promote wide application.

Modern biomedical technologies predict the application of materials and devices that not only can comply effectively with specific requirements, but also enable remote control their functions. One most prospective for these advanced applications are based on temperature-responsive polymer brush coatings (TRPBCs). In this review, methods fabrication characterization TRPBCs summarized, possibilities application, as well advantages disadvantages TRPBCs, presented in detail. Special attention is paid to mechanisms thermo-responsibility TRPBCs. Applications temperature-switchable bacteria killing, temperature-controlled protein adsorption, cell culture, adhesion/detachment cells tissues considered. The criteria required desired discussed.

For over two decades, polymer brushes have found wide applications in industry and scientific research. Now, brush research has been a significant focus the community of science. In this review paper, we give an introduction to synthesis, self-assembly, one-dimensional (1D) on backbones, two-dimensional (2D) flat surfaces, three-dimensional (3D) spherical particles. Examples synthesis different substrates are provided. Studies formation surface nanostructures solid surfaces also reviewed article. Multicomponent able self-assemble into micelles (s-micelles). If s-micelles linked through cleavable linkages, can be cleaved from substrates, hierarchical structures. The by coassembly "free" chains (coassembly approach) or polymerization-induced self-assembly approach, is discussed. colloid biomedical science summarized. Finally, perspectives development offered
