The implementation of government regulations on antibiotic use, along with the public's concern for drug resistance, has strengthened interest in developing alternatives not only aimed at preserving animal production but also reducing effects pathogenic infections. Probiotics, particular, are considered microorganisms that induce health benefits host after consumption adequate amounts; they have been established as a potential strategy improving growth, especially by stimulating intestinal homeostasis. Probiotics commonly associated lactic acid bacteria, and Limosilactobacillus fermentum is well-studied species recognized its favorable characteristics, including adhesion to epithelial cells, antimicrobial compounds, activation receptors prompt transcription immune-associated genes. Recently, this used production. Different studies shown application L. strains improves ecosystem reduces caused potentially microorganisms. These revealed key insights into mechanisms behind actions exerted probiotic. In manuscript, we aim provide concise overview administration broiler chicken performance.

Necrotic enteritis (NE) is an economically important disease of chickens. We have recently shown that inflammatory responses in chickens inoculated orally with virulent Clostridium perfringens were spatially regulated. Here, we used previously virulence-characterized netB+ C. strains, avirulent CP5 and CP18 CP26, to assess the severity NE immune broiler when intracloacally. The results showed CP18- CP26-infected birds had a reduced weight gain developed milder/less severe lesions, as determined by gross lesions scores, suggesting subclinical-grade infection. Gene expression analysis infected revealed three statistically significant observations compared uninfected-control: (1) Increased anti-inflammatory/immunoregulatory interleukin (IL)-10/transforming growth factor (TGF)β cecal tonsil (CT) bursa Fabricius CP18/CP26-infected groups. (2) CT transcription pro-inflammatory IL-1β, IL-6 interferon (IFN)γ decreased Harderian gland (HG) IFNγ birds. (3) HG or bursal IL-4 IL-13 CP5-infected Collectively, intracloacal inoculation seems induce highly regulated response other mucosal lymphoid organs infection model may be useful evaluating subclinical NE.

Necrotic enteritis is a devastating disease in chickens mainly caused by Clostridium perfringens—particularly, Net-B toxin-producing strains. In order to combat necrotic broiler production, natural growth promoters, as well anti-inflammatory and non-antibiotic remedies, were developed for anti-microbial resistance due its status global pandemic. Herein, phytogenic ginger, wild marjoram, cloves reviewed potential alternatives antibiotics their functions. These phytogenics contain active ingredients that efficiently modulate the immune response improve intestinal morphology overall performance, even under stress infection conditions. Most of beneficial effects can be attributed functions, primarily inhibition NF-κB MAPK pathways. Phytogenics represent substitutes antibiotic further serving remedies treatment birds with infections.

Necrotic enteritis (NE) is a severe gastrointestinal disease that poses significant threat to the poultry industry. It leads progressive damage small intestine, reduced performance, increased mortality rates, and substantial economic losses. With removal of antimicrobial agents from chicken feed, there an urgent need find alternative approaches for NE control. Various approaches, including vaccination, prebiotics, probiotics, plant-derived products, have been utilized address in management. To evaluate efficacy these preventive measures against NE, successful induction crucial observe effects related studies. This study presents comprehensive overview methods reproduction studies 2004 2023. These considerations are careful selection virulent
