The present study aims to discover the impact of political risk, globalization and technological innovation on ecological footprint in BRICS economies by employing a dataset covering period between 1990 2017 incorporating non-renewable energy utilization economic growth as other regressors through panel quantile regression. outcomes established that growth, usage, risk increase footprint. Conversely, significantly decreases ordinary least squares approach serves sensitivity test for robustness analysis. Furthermore, Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality confirmed bidirectional causal interaction exists innovation, globalization, while one-way interconnection runs from risk. Notably, general policy suggestion indicates need policymakers intensively coordinate efforts combat serious environmental deterioration economies.

Fiscal policy is a crucial government tool for influencing and managing the national economy creating strong incentive low carbon investment. Previous literature has reputable evidence that improving fiscal enhances environmental quality. However, fails to classify exact turning level (threshold point) below/above which association may be negative or positive. In this regard, research investigates nexus between policy, foreign direct investment, financial development, trade openness, urban population, gross capital formation, labour force, CO2 emissions in era of globalization. The panel data set contained 105 countries over period from 1990 2016. empirical findings are estimated through linear nonlinear approaches such as fully modified ordinary least square threshold regression. subsequent established: first, globalization significantly increase pollution. Second, results confirm existence pollution haven hypothesis (PHV). Third, development fixed formation also considered some most indicators levels. Fourth, force improve Fifth, regression discovers maintain minimum at −1.2889. Based on these findings, study suggests policymakers governments should take steps restructure their industrial sector design macroeconomic-level carbon-free policies support implementation low-energy-intensive lower production technologies.

Abstract This study investigates the influence of democracy, autocracy, and globalization on carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions in 69 developing countries from 1990 to 2018. We used unit root approaches scrutinize level stationarity recognize that all concern variables were unified at first difference. Pedroni Kao cointegration methodologies employed for detection long‐run cointegration, conclusions discovered presence relationships among variables. Furthermore, this applied a fully modified ordinary least square (FMOLS) approach estimate elasticity/coefficients. The outcomes showed democracy renewable energy significantly overcome pressure environment. However, financial development increase environmental damage. Besides, findings an interaction term between reduce pollution level, dampening effect autocracy does similar Inverted U‐shaped Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis was verified across world. Additionally, Feedback is CO emissions. growth revealed democracy. Finally, also suggests some valuable policy suggestions governments/policymakers general/specific regarding world endorsing their sustainability.
