Bisphenol analogues (BPs) have been widely applied to industry as the substitutes for bisphenol A (BPA), which detected frequently in surface water, sediment, sewage and sludge. The presence of BPs natural environment could pose risks aquatic ecosystem human health. This study outlined occurrence, toxicity manifested their potential ecological risk throughout world. As BPA was losing its dominance, while were occupying a large part, especially S (BPS), F (BPF) AF (BPAF). In some heavily polluted areas, concentration reached µg/L environment, effluent plants higher than that water. content sludge sediment more aqueous phase. All other BPS P (BPP) had moderate toxicity. current data supports exposure may adverse effects on dysfunction endocrine system such thyroid hormone concentration, enzyme activity, even cell dysfunction, gene damage chromosomal abnormalities. According quotient (RQ), BPF shows highest China, Japan South Korea, followed by BPS. occurrence bisphenols neurotoxicity organisms merit further investigation.

Bisphenol A (BPA) and its analogues are high-volume production organic synthetic compounds used in the synthesis of plastics. BPA has been categorized as an endocrine disrupting compound due to ability disrupt hormonal makeup living organisms. Air dust common sources exposure for organisms most anthropogenic a result thermal destruction containing materials, import export recyclable materials (especially e-waste) fugitive emissions near handling facilities. Current reports on levels air limited focused effluent surface water analysis (due BPA's propensity environmental distribution water). presence developing part world is particular concern lack regulations uncontrolled incinerations domestic imported waste. The current review summarizes up-to-date scientific literature occurrence air, alongside physico-chemical partitioning properties, persistence seasonal variation, consideration analytical strategies toxicological information. Globally reported concentrations included this report, indoor concentration analogues. As special interest, tetrabromobisphenol (TBBPA) also mentioned. Overall, highest outdoor were China (1.1 × 106 pg/m3) low-tech e-waste recycling site, while examination revealed bisphenol "BPA-free" products, raising questions about their safety. Due low volatility, mainly present associated with particles; important implications role particulate matter microplastics) transport deposition. understanding particle association limited, hence studying potential heterogeneous oxidative transformations pressing need required accurate accounting risk human health environment.
