This study focused on the distribution, combined pollution, potential source and risk assessment of 17 antibiotics in an aquaculture ecosystem surrounding Yellow sea, North China. Antibiotics were detected various matrices (seawater, sediment/biofilm, organism feed) different modes (greenhouse outdoor aquaculture) during wet dry seasons coastal areas Shandong province. The innovation points as follows: (1) To best our knowledge, this was one few to investigate occurrence distribution mariculture environments along Sea coast; (2) Biofilms, a focus study, might act sink for ecosystem; (3) correlation heavy metals antibiotic concentrations proved, which could correspondingly be used indicator studied area. levels water observed relatively low, at ng/L level. Trimethoprim most prevalent antibiotic, all samples. Oxytetracycline high biofilms (up 1478.29 ng/g). Moreover, exhibited higher accumulation capacity compared sediments. Concentrations oxytetracycline doxycycline feed, while other almost undetected. Tetracycline widely concentration enrofloxacin highest organisms. Correlation analysis demonstrated that environmental parameters coexisting contaminants (e.g. metals) significantly affected concentrations. In addition, Zn correlated with total proportional several sediment (biofilm) samples (p < 0.01). High Mn closely related individual sulfadiazine, sulfamethazine enrofloxacin) levels, may result contamination environment. estuaries groundwater generally originated from wastewater untreated/treated domestic sewage. Most posed no Ciprofloxacin found present ecological resistance risks, two accumulate fish pose considerable human health through diet consumption. All seafood lower than respective maximum residue limits. can reference government determination discharge standards establishment standardized monitoring management system.

Pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) have been the focus of increasing concern in recent decades due to their ubiquity environment potential risks. Out-of-date PPCPs are usually discharged into municipal solid wastes (MSWs), enter leachates MSW landfills, serious adverse effects on surrounding water environment. However, occurrence removal from landfill rarely examined date. This lack knowledge makes an underestimated source In this review, we collected relevant publications leachates, systematically summarized globally, evaluated performances for various by different types on-site full-scale leachate treatment processes, assessed impacts adjacent groundwater. particular, influencing factors including physicochemical properties PPCPs, climate conditions, characteristics sites (i.e., ages) as well sociological economic development), were extensively discussed understand patterns. Future perspectives also proposed light identified gaps. To best our knowledge, is first review regarding worldwide.

Pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) are considered as emerging contaminants (ECs) in the environment due to their known or suspected adverse ecological effects human health risks. Wastewater, compost, manure application release PPCPs into agricultural soil systems. Since plants can take up such ECs, they a primary window of exposure via route consumption contaminated plants. This may lead deleterious effects. However, various kinds, differential uptake bioaccumulation plant have recently received research interest. Therefore, present article reviewed occurrence antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, hormones, cytostatic contrast media, β-blockers, blood lipid regulators, antiepileptic antimicrobials, ultra-violet filters, preservatives, insect repellents, synthetic musks by assembling literature. Moreover, translocation under realistic greenhouse condition, factors influencing through explicitly demonstrated this review. Also, risk connected with gap areas were investigated future perspectives.
