Introduction To enhance the precision of evaluating impact urban environments on resident health, this study introduces a novel fuzzy intelligent computing model designed to address health risk concerns using multi-media environmental monitoring data. Methods Three cities were selected for study: Beijing ( B City), Kunming K and Wuxi W representing high, low, moderate pollution levels, respectively. The employs Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) as chosen model, synthesizing data purpose assessment. Results (1) reliably estimates risks across diverse conditions. (2) There is positive correlation between PM2.5 concentrations risks, though noise levels varies by city. In , respective coefficients are 0.65, 0.55, 0.7. (3) Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) values 0.0132, 0.0125, 0.0118, respectively, indicating that has high accuracy. R 2 three 0.8963, 0.9127, 0.9254, demonstrating model’s explanatory power. residual 0.0087, 0.0075, 0.0069, small residuals robustness adaptability. (4) p-values Indoor Air Quality Index (IAQI), Thermal Comfort (TCI), Noise Pollution (NPI) all satisfy p < 0.05 cities, affirming credibility in estimating under varied environments. Discussion These results showcase ability adapt geographical conditions aid accurate assessment existing settings. This significantly advances integrating multidimensional data, enhancing formulation comprehensive protection management strategies, providing scientific support sustainable planning.

To help meet the objectives of Great Lakes Restoration Initiative with regard to increasing knowledge about toxic substances, 223 pesticides and pesticide transformation products were monitored in 15 tributaries using polar organic chemical integrative samplers. A screening-level assessment their potential for biological effects was conducted by computing toxicity quotients (TQs) chemicals available US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Aquatic Life Benchmark values. In addition, exposure activity ratios (EAR) calculated information from USEPA ToxCast database. Between 16 81 detected per site, 97 unique compounds overall, which 64 could be assessed TQs or EARs. Ten exceeded TQ EAR levels concern at two more sites. Chemicals exceeding thresholds included seven herbicides (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, diuron, metolachlor, acetochlor, atrazine, simazine, sulfentrazone), a product (deisopropylatrazine), insecticides (fipronil imidacloprid). Watersheds draining agricultural urban areas had detections higher concentrations compared other land uses. Chemical mixtures analysis assays associated common modes action defined gene targets adverse outcome pathways (AOP) indicated on related range cellular processes, including xenobiotic metabolism, extracellular signaling, endocrine function, protection against oxidative stress. This study presents an innovative approach for assessing water quality in agricultural irrigation networks, integrating stable isotope analysis, vivo zebrafish screening, and comprehensive chemical profiling to investigate the occurrence, transformation, potential toxicity of organic contaminants. Stable analysis was used measure evaporation as a proxy residence time canal, while liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) identified range compounds samples collected from both canal its source river. Results indicated reduction contaminant levels compared river, with most significant concentration changes occurring at holding reservoir, suggesting that managing could help reduce loss arid networks. The data also highlighted how evaporation, particularly during dry, hot season, influences dynamics. Hierarchical clustering LC-HRMS results showed notable differences between profiles river samples, indicating systems may contribute degradation or removal certain compounds. Over 60 % detected were naturally derived, anthropogenic contaminants like pesticides personal care products further highlighting human impacts. Priority contaminants, including DEET 2-naphthalene sulfonic acid, likely originated urban activities upstream. Initial screening using embryos bioactivity across sites, confirming presence needing examination. Correlation linked natural rates, flora fauna play roles makeup water. Overall, this provides framework monitoring water, offering insights into behavior supporting development standardized methods fate ecological risks systems.

Pesticides are difficult to measure, their concentrations often represent discrete snapshots in time, capturing peak is expensive. Three types of regression models were developed estimate two selected each six sites. The used continuously measured streamflow water-quality properties (differing combinations pH, specific conductance, turbidity, temperature); samples analyzed atrazine, azoxystrobin, bentazon, bromacil, imidacloprid, simazine, triclopyr; time as an explanatory variable seasonality. The modeling approaches included (1) a standard that surrogates temperature) periodic functions (sine-cosine) pesticide application use predictor variables; (2) seasonal wave with flow adjustment model component anomalies but excluded surrogates; (3) component, anomalies, surrogates. Models evaluated using three measures performance: generalized coefficient determination (generalized R2), Akaike’s Information Criteria, scale (the estimated deviation tobit error term). Because low observation numbers, results from this study can be considered pilot effort possibility some overfit. In all cases, modeled base SEAWAVE-Q better than surrogate models; 39 R2 values increased by 3–56 percent (median 25 percent) when compared models, Criteria decreased. addition variables such temperature improve estimates resulted only modest improvements; 0–10 3 percent).
